new P&G rebate – $15 when you spend $50

There’s a new P&G rebate that started today and runs through 12/31/12.  Huge list of products available – including the Herbal Essence and Aussie products currently on sale at Ultra through Wednesday for $2!  And since Ultra takes coupons up to 30 days expired, you can use those lovely $3/2 coupons from the 8/5 rp.  Rebate specifically says “$50.00 purchase is subtotal before coupon redemption.”  You’d be buying 26 bottles of shampoo and conditioner, paying $13 to get back $15.   If you don’t have access to those coupons, use the 10/7 rp or 9/16 S ones – they’re crummy old $1/2, so you’d end up paying about 94¢ a bottle after coupons and rebate.

anybody have any of these coupon left?  None of the sellers on the right side bar have any in stock, so contact the eBay sellers under completed auctions (the red ones that didn’t sell) to see if what prices they’re looking at.  Get a rain check or two at Ultra and it should work well.  My advice is to get however many of the HE and Aussie you have the $3/2 coupons for and put the receipts in an envelope with the rebate form.  It’s early days yet and there’ll will be more and better deals.

Yellow Tail $36 rebate PSA

Just got a postcard in today’s mail that my receipt did not contain a valid purchase date.  I called the toll-free number, entered all the info, only to hear the recording read the same info as on the postcard!  Total waste of time.  Customer service says that the fulfillment house marked this rebate as NO dates on the receipt, which means the paperwork gets removed from the low-level monkeys and sent for verification to the people actually running the rebate program.  so another two or three weeks grrr…

So be aware, you might be next.

FREE 5 qts synthetic motor oil after rebate

Get a G OIL (Green Earth Technologies) rebate of up to $26 when you buy a 5 quart bottle of 5W-30 Bio-Based Full Synthetic Green Motor Oil.  GET products are totally safe for you, your family, around your pets and the environment. There are no adverse effects evident through swallowing, skin absorption, eye contact or inhalation. Nevertheless, any contact with any product that causes you concern, it’s always a good idea to check with your doctor.

Purchases must be made between 2/14/2012 and 2/26/2012 – this is a very small window.   Requests must be postmarked by 3/26/2012.  Be aware that this site loads very slowly – I’m still trying to load the $10 coupon towards an oil change (for the non-DIY peeps).

Once you’re on their main page, click products to see who carries this stuff.  Every Walmart listed carries the 5 quart sizes, so that’s good news.  100% satisfaction in the reviews!  This product is eligible for FREE shipping to storel; putting in the Glen Ellyn store gave me a price of $26, so yes, completely free.  Pour the oil into another container and you’ve got next year’s oil changes covered!

Thanks to a reader for this tip.

Miller rebates

I’d say piss on ’em but I think that’s where it comes from in the first place (naturally-brewed) …

Just got off the phone with both the Miller/Coor rebates fulfillment house and the consumer affairs office for Miller/Coors/HampsterPiss…  Apparently their fulfullment house will not honor the Miller rebate because coupon use brought the total down below $100.  Now, I could just as easily have purchased everything without coupons and then marched over to customer service with those same coupons, but honestly, what difference does it make to Miller?  Paying with a FREE coupon or a Wags RR doesn’t make it less of a grocery trip, does it?  So this will be one beer company that I will easily pass on for the rest of my natural born life – and only the good die young, Miller/Coors/GoatPflegm.

Brita rebate update – good news!

The following appeared on the Brita FilterForGood Facebook Wall: “Hi Brita fans! Great news to report: We will be honoring all the mail-in rebates that were recently available! We apologize for all the inconvenience this caused. Thanks for you patience and sticking with Brita. Enjoy your rebates!”

If you really want a laugh, read some of the posts from people who do not see why anyone would ever get upset over not getting a rebate – totally miss the point.

Neutrogena $10 rebate

I’m getting emails about this so I’m gonna jump the gun and publish now:  Starting January 8 and running through February 8, 2012, spend $30 on Neutrogena products and receive a $10 rebate.  Since you have to submit receipts, getting clearance stuff doesn’t help.  But if you can combine this with an ecb, Target gift card or RR deal…well, then.  So here’s the official Neutrogena Rebate Form – have fun.  I’ll post anything that jumps out at me.  Note:  The envelope must be postmarked by March 8, 2012.

PSAs right and left

1.  If people in other areas are not finding the yellow tail rebate in their local CVS ad this week, let me know and I can grab a bunch and send them out.

2.  Don’t forget the Fannie May $10 coupon giveaway ends tomorrow at 5 pm.

Booze rebates update – update!

I’ve gotten more info on the Budweiser rebate:  Offer expires 12-31-11; postmark by 1-14-12.

I’m still holding some of the $50 hard liquor rebates, so I thought I’d post and see what response I get for the rest of them.

1.  5 or 6 of the $20 yellow tail rebates.  Honestly, the $36 is so much better that the only way I’d recommend using this one is if you only have a couple of addresses you can use and/or you’re a big lush or any combination thereof.

2.  About 15 of the $20 Heineken rebates (see earlier post for details) with $80 worth of groceries purchases.

3.  Eight of the Bacardi $30 rebates.

4.  20 Budweiser  $20 prepaid card WYB a 24 pack and $100 gift cards or $10 prepaid card WYB 24 pk and $50 gift cards.  This last one is coming in the mail, so don’t get too excited yet.  What gift card deals can we stack this baby with, huh?  CVS has all those gift card deals, so let’s come up with a scenario to make the Naperville CVS the booze headquarters of North America.

yellow tail rebate PSA

If you have not yet mailed in your yellow tail rebate – DO NOT!!!  The current rebate form gets you $20 when you buy 12, but there is a new rebate form in the 12/11 CVS ad which gets you $36 when you buy 12!!  Yup, that’s right, $16 more bucks for the same amount purchased.  You have until 12/31/11 to purchase, 1/15/12 to get it postmarked and 1/31/12 for them to receive it.  As a matter of fact, you now have enough lead time to order coupons:  While I don’t see them on Dede, eBay has a Buy It Now for 10 coupons for $2.99.  You’d still be ahead…unless you grabbed those one or two packs at the Lisle Jewel customer service desk…

The rebate number is different on this one, so if you are planning on buying another case, go for it.   The Jewel sale is over and now the yellow tail is going for $6.49 after Preferred Card.  CVS, on the other hand, has it for 2/$11, a considerable difference.  They also offer the 10% off on six bottles or more.  So, let’s do the math here:  $5.50 x 12 = $66.  Take off 10% for the case price.  There is a tearpad on the CVS shelf for $4 off instantly when you buy 1 yellow tail with a 12 pack of Miller.  Well, hell’s bells, we need to buy the Miller for our $25 rebate, don’t we?  So 11 of the yellow tail coupons plus the $4 brings the cost down to $44.40.  Submit the receipt for $36 and you’ve just spent .70 per bottle!  Please call Emily if you want to order case amounts:  They carry Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.  If you plan to do the Miller/yellow tail rebates, you will need to have the Miller rung up separately but inform Emily (or cashier) that you are buying yellow tail and using the $4 coupon from buying the Miller.  They have no problem with this since they can’t print out duplicate receipts and you’re running two rebates.

The 12 packs of Miller are priced at $8.99 at CVS.

On another topic entirely, Emily says they are getting about 50 Norelco razors in per week, distributed on a first call – first get basis. Call the store on Thursday mornings at 7 am to have your razors put aside.

Heineken and Bacardi rebates

A heads up on the Miller rebates:  Please check the earlier post with all the names listed.  If your name is shown with a line through it, you’re set.  If you see your name with no marking, please contact me with either mailing info or if you want to pick it up at the Lisle Jewel.  Also, there are still two packs of 12 yellow tail $1 coupons at the Lisle customer service for the first people to claim them.

Just got a delivery of 20 rebates for $20 back on $80 worth of groceries AND two 12-packs  (equivalent or larger) of Heineken, Heineken Light or Amstel Light or ONE Heineken or Heineken Light DraughtKeg (this must be a big sucker!).

The 10 Bacardi rebate forms say all House brands:  House of Bacardi Rum and House of Bacardi Flavored Rums; House of Grey Goose Vodka and flavored Vodka; House of Dewars blended scotch whiskeys; House of Tequila Cazadores and Eristoff Vodka and vodka specialties.

Buy 2 get $10, Buy 3 get $20 and Buy 4 get $30.

I also have more of the $50 hard liquor rebates if anyone wants more.

CUT-OFF FOR COMMENTS WILL BE SATURDAY 5 PM – YOU WILL THEN HAVE UNTIL SUNDAY 6 PM TO CONTACT ME WITH DELIVERY INFO.  that is all.
