Smart idea to have Amazon Fresh with two shopping lists – and the full cart – comparing their prices to Jewel. We stopped at Jewel for the $1.99 clementines before hitting Amazon for $5/$10 ice cream and Ben & Jerry’s was $4.89 at Amazon Fresh before coupon; $5.49 at Jewel.
Of course, had the clearance cart been out, my opinion might change 🙂
Refrigerated Core bars are 5/$5 at Jewel this week and the $2.50/2 Ibotta rebate has improved – – now it’s $1.25 with a FIVE limit 🙂 You can also scan the receipt for 25 points from Fetch Rewards. I bought five of the peanut butter/chocolate variety so I can pretend candy is a health food. Scan the barcode to make sure you’re grabbing the right variety/flavors.
Looks like these are all included in a Fetch Rewards bonus promotion, which helps to ease the pain 🙂
stopped at the Dollar Tree on Park & Roosevelt in Glen Ellyn for some holiday grilling buns and saw this interesting toothpaste on the shelf. I have so much of the stuff I’m taking boxes to the COD food pantry, but if you’re interested, it’s much pricier on Amazon )
Decided to pick up some Bubbl’r with the freebie coupon from May – there was a tearpad on the shelf with one coupon – score! The Pacific Foods aseptically packaged soups are a great deal at $1.17 a box; had them in the past and mighty tasty. Make sure to check dates ’cause I pulled out a bunch that expired last month; I kindly brought them up to the service desk. The rest were as far out as mid-2023.

Had to stop at Jewel anyway for expiring Rewards. Saw a longtime cashier who asked how we were all doing since she hadn’t seen us in some time – Amazon Fresh, baby! Likes stores with cashiers and I assured her Amazon Fresh had them (I mean, Jewel on a Saturday only had two working). She said she prefers Mariano’s … Jewel engenders such strong loyalty 🙂
