buck & a quarter shopping trip

Lots of interesting things at Dollar Tree today!  Pita loves Annie’s products, so even with short dates, this Cowgirl Ranch salad dressing it was a sweet find for her; I thought the Avocado sauce looked yummy (with good ingredients, to boot!).  Soapbox hand soap was a restock from last month; Walgreens has it for $4.49. Walgreens also carries their body wash for $6.99 & $7.99 with a $12/2 coupon to clip now that will be valid starting Sunday.  Walgreens also has a ton of high-value coupons for No 7 – seen these drastically reduced in the past, so I’ve clipped them all just in case 🙂

Jewel shopping with Ibotta

Actually, this is a trick photo because the Thomas products came from Dollar Tree a few doors down – see what the Jewel shelf tags read!  What I wanted was the Cabot cheese on sale for $3.50 because there’s a $1.50 Ibotta rebate (limit 5) and Cabot is a good brand. If you sign up with my referral code – MTXFAG – we’ll both earn $10 on your first receipt scan!

Jewel shopping? why?

I’ll hit up Jewel for 7¢ tuna and Pita had a reward expiring today, but those are the only Jewel items in this picture. What a change, right?  The Hunts fire roasted tomatoes were $1 at Dollar Tree (as were Ro-Tel and Ramen 6-pks since they were on the $1 Extra Value shelves) – it was $1.49 at Jewel.  And you can’t beat their Brownberry Ovens bakery prices!

Buck & a Quarter Joint Shopping

Only stopped in for a decent-sized pitcher and somehow ended up with all sorts of indulgences in the cart!  Fancy flavored almonds in 2 oz pouches, then Pita wanted the 2L pop we saw last visit.  Softsoap coupons have expired, but this is a big-ass refill (32 oz) if you’re running low.  I got Tom’s of Maine hand soaps because the lavender scent blew me away and it’s majorly expensive elsewhere (over $7 for the blood orange on Amazon).

The Soapbox brand of hand soap is selling in multiple packs on Amazon for about $5 a bottle; hope DT gets in some of the other scents because this sounds like a very responsible brand.

Hate paying more, but dishwasher detergent is expensive even at Walmart – what can you do?  Tried making my own (already had the ingredients) and it was a clusterf*ck, okay?

Saffron Road is a great brand, as is Tasty Bite (organic!), so Pita loaded up the cart on each. Definitely shocked by the Seven-Up and Canada Dry, although I think these are seasonal flavors that people fight over.  Stock up now!Old Spice scrubbing cleanser was a surprise

And I don’t know how personalized the diet advice can be when it’s on a Dollar Tree shelf 🙂

shopping the buck & a quarter joint

Stopped in for tissue and about had a heart attack – bumping up prices by 25% means that unless you have a decent coupon and a coupon-friendly store, DT isn’t gonna cut it any more.  Ever wondered where the Jewel warehouse dumped all that Juniper brand sanitizing spray?  Now you know!

And isn’t this the cutest cup you’ve seen a long time?  The back side is the Bounty info for this 50 year old.

Dollar Tree freebies today

I used the $1 coupon in today’s SmartSource for free Hungry Jack instant potatoes!  Naturally the coupon wouldn’t scan even though it’s a product pictured, but then it’s been quite some time since I had a functioning coupon at Dollar Tree 🙂 Your mileage may vary, depending on whether or not you have a coupon-friendly store.

Let’s go Dollar Tree-ing

Really just stopped in to restock the tissue stockpile – who uses up all this stuff, anyway?  While wandering the aisles we found a few things that go for quite a bit more at other spots (the Ahava dead sea bath salts alone are $11 on Amazon!).  As always, if you find something good, grab as many as you can because these are not normally stocked items.

Dollar Tree for Scotties & True Lemon

Picked up boxes of Scotties tissue at Dollar Tree plus lots of True Lemon crystal packets – been waiting on True Lemon since our last stock up in April!  Use the .75/2 coupon from today’s insert for even cheaper tissue 🙂  Note that no Scotties coupon since the dawn of time has ever scanned at DT, so if your store is even mildly hostile to manually entering coupons, hard pass.

Dollar Tree & Fetch Rewards Bonus

Stopped in for whatever name brand for less Dollar Tree had on the shelves and was very pleased to see these three products, especially since we were introduced to Saffron Road at Whole Foods many years ago – DT definitely is cheaper.  What else did we see?  Still lots of pink Himalayan sea salt, grabbed more tissue since you can’t beat the price … and somehow ended up at $66 with three large totes of stuff.

Scanned Fetch Rewards when we got back and earned 350 points, putting me over 55,000!  Fetch Rewards, the APP that doesn’t care where you shop – even online! Scan the receipt and if there’s an item that’s part of a rebate, you get it automatically – otherwise you still get a minimum of 25 points; if there’s a manufacturer promo going on, you could get as many as 3,000 points! Don’t have it, sign up with code WVAB6 (asks at end, so enter before your first scan since you can’t go back) and we’ll both earn bonus points on your first scan.  Buy gift cards for Amazon, Panera, Target, Visa and more with as little as 3,000 points.
