CVS, Black Friday & a Giveaway

This deal is hot!

Update the Second:   Feel free to call the store with any special orders.  The restrictions have been completely lifted.  If you’re going to place a special order, please speak with Emily, since she is in charge of this whole thing.  If you’re looking for more coupons, Dede has them for .50 each with no limits.  Well, there’s always common sense limits…

Update:  Goddess has been informed – by a few of you – that she’s an idiot.  Okay, well, no one came out and said it, but putting out a giveaway with no closing date?  Kinda dumb.  So I hereby declare that Tuesday the 15th at 5 pm will be the close of the giveaway.  Winners will have until 5 pm Wednesday to contact me – after that we pick a new name(s).

Just to let you all know that the Naperville CVS store has already got in large quantities of the Black Friday deals.  The one deal that will really rock your world is that ever-popular Norelco razor.  Yup, the Black Friday ad shows it for $26.99.   My suggestion would be to buy one razor with one ECB-earning item (with coupon) to use up the overage – you’d end up with a free razor and a sweet MM.  But wait, Goddess, you say, I used up all my coupons a couple of weeks ago!  Prithee, what shall I do?  For you, Bucky, a giveaway:  Ten readers will each receive a set of ten coupons.  Only caveat is that they will be held for you at the Naperville CVS store and you must buy the razors there.

Now, don’t go thinking I’m getting a kickback on this deal, sweet though that would be (and I’m open to offers from any CVS executives)!  This location has loaded up on the products and will be getting in enough razors to meet all our needs and they are willing to work with couponers…can you say the same about your local stores?  Thought not…So only enter if you want to drive there and make some cash…the least you’d make would be about fifty bucks, right?  And a trunk full of Christmas presents for free (well, before high tax).

CVS – clearance gum & candy – non-Halloween

Yeah, you heard me right – NO HALLOWEEN CANDY FOR ME!  Stopped by to check out product for the Black Friday deals (gonna be some sweet ones).  Waiting on final clarification on some before I post, though.

They were clearancing out Beemans, Clove and Black Jack gum with some generic pop rocks packets and “gourmet” lollypops…  13¢ each!   This was at the Naperville store, so check your local stores – if you don’t see them, ask!  This gum is usually crazy-high priced because it’s “retro.”

Whirly-gig shopping

Kinda like you’re running around all over so you can rush home and finish cleaning, laundry…oh, you know – Just a Normal Day!

Picked up 6 of the Smuckers at CVS – kinda figured I’d wait awhile on the Jif, don’tchaknow.  Each set of two was $4.09 after the $1/2 in today’s Red Plum.  Get back $3 ecbs on each transaction.  Limit one set per card.  After you’ve hit your limits, I’d advise hitting up Jewel for the same products, same 2/$5 with the $1/2 coupon (only for Smuckers) and get back a $1 OYNO cat.  Once you’ve hit the ecb limit at CVS, they lose the price edge.

I drove to the Bolingbrook Food4Less for the cheap LOL butter:  $2.48 lb when you buy ten of their mix and match items.  I chose 17 butters (’cause that was all the $1 blinkies I had) and three coffee creamers (.55 blinkies).  Threw in two packs of tortillas and my OOP came to $31.09.  eeekkk!  Well, let’s face it, $1.48 for butter is a very, very good price and it freezes well.

Jewel was a quick run for eight of the TGIF meals, four Dole pineapple, four Who Nu cookies, two V-8 juice, one Wild Harvest salad mix, bag of frozen broccoli and couple pounds of organic bananas.  Used the TGIF coupons, four FREE Dole coupons (from the mfr), $4 off the cookies, two .75 coupons for V-8 (from mfr) and three FREE cats for the bananas (.79), broccoli (1.99) and salad (up to $4).  Total OOP was $10.09, but I got $4 for the TGIF and a buck for each of the Dole and V-8 transactions.  So what should we claim?  $4.09?

Today is the last day of the 2/$4 Who Nu sale price, so if you want/need any, better stop in.  I took the last of the Oreo-type ones and got a rain check for 12 more.

Black Friday deals on CVS

I lifted this entire list from slickdeals, just ’cause they’re awesome!  Lots of gift ideas with the Buy $30 get $10 gift card.  Haven’t really started with coupon match-ups, except for this CVS $1.50 Breathe Right coupon.  Stack this with the 10/16 rp mfr coupon and you’re looking at a $3 MM!  Print before it disappears!  The Naperville CVS store is putting in early large orders of these money-makers, so they’ll be sure to have stock.  If you have any coupon match-ups, comment and I’ll revise this post.

Amazon – thoughts on price increases…and cheap Skippy!

I’ve been lurking around Amazon, checking on things that used to be really, really good deals – remember the Kraft Parmesan cheese?  It’s now shot up to about five bucks an eight ounce container!  Community Coffee isn’t showing up, Eight O’Clock must contain gold flakes…you get my point.  Which is why I’m posting this Skippy Naturals deal again.  The rest of the Skippys have already jumped up, but for some reason, this one has not.  This is the only Skippy Natural that’s still at $12.43 after Subscribe & Save – the rest are now over twenty bucks.

Skippy Creamy Peanut Butter, Natural with Honey, 15-Ounce Jars (Pack of 6) for $12.43 ($2.07 each).

Yes, CVS will have Jif next week for cheap after ecbs, but you can only get a couple per card (not that I’m accusing you of having more than one card!!!), which has always been the sucky part of CVS.  Even with almost 60 jars in my stockpile, I’m getting nervous about these price increases.

CVS – MM – hot!

Heard that the Aveeno Buy two moisturizing products, get $7 ecbs was being triggered by the purse/travel size products, so headed on over to check it out.  The puny sizes ring up at $1.49, so pay $2.98 and get back $7?  works for me!  Note that while there are coupons in 10/30 S, they specifically exclude the smaller size products.

CVS – Norelco Razors Update

Just got an email from Emily at the Naperville CVS:  The Norelco Razors are in stock!  Now that’s speedy delivery, huh?  Those of you driving in to the Lisle Jewel for the TGIF coupons can hit CVS and get your razors, too!

CVS – deal courtesy of MUM

This CVS CoverGirl scenario was lifted in its entirety from Rachel.  And I know she will comment on it 30 seconds after it posts.  Mention her name and her head spins faster than Kim Kardashian’s does when she spots a photo op.  That reminds me:  How much did Kim get for exclusive pictures of the bridal night?  but i digress…

You see here two sets of exactly the same transaction for two separate CoverGirl rebates.  Remember that CVS is having a Buy 1 CG, get the second 50% off.  Bought two Olay Regenerists ($20.99 each),  two CoverGirl eyeshadows ($3.99; $1.99) and two liperfection pencils ($7.99; 3.99).  The liperfection pencil coupons scanned at $7.50 – which was funny because the cashier asked if I had purchased anything different because it all went through smoothly, with no beeps.  He said they had been having problems and this was the first time it went right through (…sorry Rachel).  Used the $10/2 Olay coupon, the $8/2 CoverGirl coupon and FREE CG liperfection pencil when you buy any Regenerist product.   Used the $5/25 from the Magic Coupon Machine and will get an additional $5 in Beauty Rewards Club purchases.  I used the first $20 gift card to pay for the second transaction.

Oh, and I got more of those FREE Illy coffee coupons from the Machine.  They didn’t have any in stock, so I’ll just hold on to them.  Since I’ll submit the receipts for the CoverGirl $10 gift card, I’d say I’m a very happy camper.

Walgreens – Norelco razors

Walgreens has these Norelco 7310 razors on sale for $34.99 through December 31.  Obviously we are required to honor the orders we placed at CVS, but if they do not come in or you only got a rain check without placing an order, then feel free to hit up Wags.  Note that ymmv – this was purchased at Wheaton, so any of “our” stores will work with us.

CVS this morning

Decided to pick up some of the Schiff Move Free (BOGO this week), using the $5 coupons in 9/11 S.  End up spending $10 per bottle – know anybody who wants to buy this stuff?  cheap?

Check the Magic Coupon Machine – it’s been spitting out FREE Illy issimo individual cans of coffee – yes, the same drink that was free after coupons at Wags.  These are some seriously puny cans (6.8 oz).  Got three coupons. FORGOT TO SAY THIS EARLIER:  The coupon scans at $2.49, so make sure you have something to eat the .50 overage.
