Yes, that’s one of the oddities of the way we use coupons:  Buying items we don’t want or need in order to get other things cheaper.  although free is best!

In this case, I needed milk, which was $2.99, so I purchased two of the Almay cosmetic items and paid $4.42 after the $5.79 sale price and two $4 coupons.  Got $6 in ecbs, which I used to get two gallons of Dean’s milk for .10.  So total cost of milk, including tax, was $4.52…and PITA got more makeup…

This Sunday (4/16) CVS has Almay on sale for $5.79 with $3 ecbs (limit 3 per card).   The ad shows eye makeup remover, Intense I-Color shadow, liner or mascara.  There is a huge variety of this I-Color line, since it’s geared to different eye colors.  Use the $4 coupon from 6/2 S for some nice overage:  Pay $17.37 less the $12 in coupons ($5.37) and get back $9 in ecbs.  Unless your store accepts expired coupons, you’ll have to run this deal on either Saturday (if your store flips over the sale early) or Sunday, since the coupon expires 4/16.

I avoid my nearest CVS because, frankly, I get bad vibes from the manager (not directed at me personally). I’ve heard him yelling at both customers and employees and that’s just not right.

But this deal was just too good to pass up: The Secret Clinical Strength is shelf-tagged at $8.99, but it’s on sale for only $4! Use the $3 coupon in 5/19 S2 and you’ve got a great deal. Obviously we like free better than merely cheap, but it’s the cheap that’s usually free, not the Clinical Strength.

CVS will be having some BOGO coffee deals starting Sunday the 12th.  The Starbucks online price is about $10, so right there you’re getting a pack of 10 K-cups for $5, but print two of this $1.50 off any one (1) Starbucks K-Cup pack coupon (per computer) and you’ll be paying about 35¢ for each K-cup!  This coupon appeared about a week ago and I have no idea of the print limit, so don’t put off printing if it’s something you like and use.  Even the 50¢ a K-cup price is good for Starbucks (all you coffee purists out there!).

Looking for a deal on Folgers Instant?  It sells for around $7.50, so print out this $1.50 off one Folgers product coupon and get two for $4.50 – $2.25 is pretty cheap for instant.

This week CVS has a buy any full size DermaSilk product, get $10 ecbs promo.  Buy the DermaSilk 1 Minute Wrinkle Eraser Pen Anti-Wrinkle Complex for $19.99, pay with this fantastic $10 mfr pdf coupon and $10 and get back your $10!  If you have ecbs to burn, even better!  While the coupon is found on the CVS page, it is a manufacturer coupon (no mention of CVS) and can be used anywhere that sells DermaSilk products, although it might be tough finding a store that will accept a $10 IP.  Expiration is April 14th.
