Parade coupons

Forgot to post this earlier, but check today’s Parade Magazine for coupons.  They seem to vary between papers, but look for the full page with “available at Walgreens and Walmart” wording although these are manufacturer’s coupons.

My Parade contained these coupons:  $1off Oscillococcinum adult dose 12 or 20 ct; $2 off any STOPAIN product; $1 off Bioglan Kids Smart fish oil; $2 off any size Urinozinc prostate formula.  This weird stuff tends to be FARR at Wags and CVS (ecbs) all the time.

CouponTom’s new search feature

Stolen directly from MUM (I just saw her tweet):  CouponTom had been working on putting in the ability to search for current and expired coupons.  Last email was a few days ago, so I was surprised to see it was up and running.  Click at the top of the page under Find a Coupon.  You type what you’re looking for under search, same as always, but then you can change your preference to:  not expired; 30 days expired; 90 days expired or 120 days expired.  Set it and forget it.  Why would you want to see what expireds are out there?  Well, Ultra still takes them back 30 days and some CVS and Wags will take them if it’s only a couple of days.  Or my personal favorite:  I knew there was a coupon out there that just expired!!!

Another nice feature of the Search box is that it includes not only insert coupons, but the various IP sites, so you won’t miss anything.

Custom Couponing T-shirt

Here’s shot of PITA (wearing an extremely pissed expression because I told her she couldn’t dance around and because I wouldn’t put her head in the shot) wearing this cool t-shirt one of my readers made.  I chose red and extra large.

Comments, people?

EC Allstars

Finally sat down to watch Season 3 of Extreme Couponing.  This time around it’s a battle between two coupon “superstars,” Carla and Faatima (you might remember her as the large family from Detroit who want to move to Hawaii and ship their stockpile…which would be the cheaper part of their airfare, if you catch my meaning, if you get my drift).  These two women have been couponing for maybe a year (insert woot here) and they know it all.  So this season the idea is to pit two of these self-proclaimed couponing queens against each other to spend at least $500 with a minimum of 16 different items purchased; winner is determined by how large a percentage is taken off the total through coupon usage.  All groceries purchased are donated to charity and the winner proceeds to the next level with the final prize being:  The Golden Shopping Cart.  i kid you not… cue willy wonka music

Barely half-way into the show and PITA’s saying “why are we watching this?  It’s boring.”  And I can hardly answer between yawns.  Yes, it’s that boring.  Both are shopping in double coupon stores, which only pisses me off, frankly.  Even without that bit, though, I’d have to say two thumbs down ’cause it’s boring as hell – I’d rather wash my kitchen floors..

Jewel – Butterball roasts

Jewel has the frozen Butterball turkey breast roasts on sale for $10.99 (normally $14.99), for a 3 pounder.  I used a $3.50 coupon (part of the giveaway) and ended up spending $7.58….but I have a couple of $2 turkey rebate forms from Menage a Trois wine that state “no wine purchase required” so I figure the roast will end up costing me less than $6 (including postage), or two bucks a pound.

newest and shinest IPs

$2 coupon from Wholly Guacamole for salsa, guac, etc.  Do the FB like thang and click coupons on the left side bar.  This coupon will only be offered for a couple of days – expiration date on mine is 12/01/11.

$1.00 off one Alka-Seltzer Plus product

$1.00 off Any Nature Made Product

$0.50 off Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls

$1.00 off two boxes Post cereals

$0.75 off Effergrip or Efferdent  I think this is a Target coupon, so a nice stack.  We used Efferdent tablets to clean retainers.

Butterball turkey rebate

The Butterball site has a $5 rebate when you purchase fresh or frozen whole birds.  Note that this is not a cash back deal – instead you get five $1 coupons good on any Butterball product(s).  Cheat-y, to my way of thinking, but if you are buying the bird anyway…  This is a SmartSource coupon and only prints two per computer.
