Giveaway winners!

I didn’t use a fancy-schmancy number generator; I just put the numbers on a paper and had my PITA pick 5.  If you didn’t pay her off in advance, that’s your problem…

Congratulations to the following people:  mimi; Pat Gates; Jamie; eb and Silviavm.  I’ve already sent out emails asking for your deets.  Please respond as soon as possible, as I’d like to get them in the mail this weekend.   Rachel, you’ll get yours as soon as the check clears…

If I don’t get a response from a poster by 5 pm Tuesday (not likely, I know), I’ll pick alternate winners.  Again, thanks to all who entered.

ZarBee’s at Wags

Read a comment from someone about the $3 MM starting 10/31 (how much extra she would have towards Jewel).  My take?  Hold on to the RRs until the following week’s sale and use them to lower your OOP on the Neuragen $19.99 MIR deal ($19.99 – $10q – $6rr =$4).  You’ll need a filler, but there should be cheap Halloween candy still hanging around.  No sense in putting out cashola, then waiting on the checks.  And it gives us time to clear out some freezer space!

Due to some totally screwed up printer issues (grrrr), I was unable to print more than 4 coupons before they disappeared.

Extremely hot Huggies deal at Wags

Lurking around Rachel’s site and for someone out town, she’s sure come up with a doozie of a deal on diapers, but I’ll just link you to her site for the deets:  mashupmom.com.  Before you leave, though, click here for the coupons.com Huggies $2.50/1 coupon  necessary to work this deal (frankly, if I needed diapers, I’d do a stock up for the next six months). There are a couple of different Huggies coupons, so print them all; I’m not sure if you can use them all, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Wags today – $1.20 OOP

Figured I’d do one more Wags run since free body wash is good body wash.  And just in case I start to run out of the International Delight creamers from a couple of weeks ago (Jewel), I’ve got Coffee Mate to take up the slack.

Used four of the $1.50 Coffee Mate printables, two $3/1 Nivea for Men coupons and one $3/2 Nivea for Women coupon, both from the 10/17 rp.

Wags Freebies 10/31 –

We’re covered for body wash for some time to come and next week’s deals at Wags are a yawn (at least to me).  In a couple of weeks there will be some cough/cold freebies that I’ll definitely take home.  First is ZarBee’s, an all-natural cough syrup.  The package talks about honey blends, etc. which I like, since I often give the PITA a large spoonful of honey (get it?  ZarBEE‘s?) when she’s got that dry cough spasm going.  Don’t like using overkill mainstream cough syrups, so I’m looking forward to this one.  Print out two of the ZarBee’s here, pay $3 and get $6 RR.  Also, the Ricola will be free when you stack the Wags .50/1 coupon in their November booklet with the $1/2 in the 10/17 ss.  Not sure if Ricola really works – maybe I just like the commercials.  All together? Riiiiicolllaaaaaa.  Much thanks to iheartwags.

Wags today – FREE, FREE, FREE

Since Wags is giving away free stuff, thought I’d just mosey on over and help myself!  They have Coffee-Mate on BOGO, so print this $1.50/1 two times (hit back).  You are required to register, but they only ask stuff like how much coffee you drink, where you drink it (home, etc., not I drink it in the bathroom in the morning, and if/what kind of additives you use.

Next freebie is the Nivea body wash.  This would actually have worked out better during  last week’s sale but, alas, the coupons are in the 10/17 rp and I’m too cheap to pick up additional papers on Saturday.  Sooo, I’m left with free.  Well, you can never have too much body wash… They’re on sale for 2/$5, so got 8 of the men’s wash and 6 of the women’s.  Use 8 of the $3 coupons and you have $4 in overage, which I used up by taking the women’s wash.  Use 3 of the $3/2 coupons for women and you are left with $4.28, of which $2.59 is tax.  While I’m certain that I could have worked it out so I would only pay tax, my family actually loves this stuff, so I’ll blow the extra two bucks.  Spending money like a drunken sailor lately – better watch it!

Wags 4 $$$

Figured I’d pick up some fast cash before the sale on Nyquil SINEX ends.  Ran this two times using two cans of the clearance formula as a filler.  (Note that the exp date on these is 5/2011!).  This enabled me to pay with a $5 RR from the Nutrisse deal a couple of weeks ago, so my actual OOP was .82 each time, since I got another $5RR each time for the Vicks.

One funny thing was I started getting those Breathe Right cats for $1 earlier this week; now they’re up to $3/1.  These things go on sale often enough that I should be sitting on a MM (no snarky comments here, missy).

Wags – It Works!

Read about this on CW, so thought I’d give it a whirl, since quite often things only work on paper.  In this case, however, it’s a definite MM.  Buy two of the Nyquil or Dayquil Sinus line for $10.  Use two of the $4/1 coupons from the September P&G insert.  With me so far?  Pay $2 and get back a $5 RR.  I threw in a Nestles Crunch bar on sale for .29 so I could use the $2 RR from the Pantene deal (I paid $1+ and got $2).  So each transaction ran .$47 and earned a $5 RR.  Sweet!

Restaurant.com

Restaurant.com Weekly Promo Banner 120x90

So far a slow day…will head out to Wags in a bit ’cause I read about a possible killer deal.  We’ll see.  Also some great stuff on a Con Agra catalina deal at Jewel.  I like to stock up on the free Wesson oil once a year.  Get lots and we’re set.  One year I got what I needed, then suddenly family and friends all needed some.  I ran out!

To tide you over, here’s a little promo from restaurant.com with 80% codes.  They say that so many certificates were sold over the two-day sale that people “saved” $11,373,450!  I do hope that you all use the certificates you purchased.  And in case you’ve now tried them and want to buy more as holiday gifts (and hostess presents)…

CVS, blah humbug

Drove out to a much further CVS in hopes of locating that elusive golden ticket errr electric toothbrush.  This store tells me that no CVS ever got them in from the warehouse because they were discontinued 4 or 5 months ago!  I stated that the stores shouldn’t be advertising and then handing out rain checks for items they don’t carry.  Rather a swarmy way to lure in customers.  Truth or fiction?  You be the judge.  Anyway, the only reason I was even in a CVS was to burn a bunch of ecbs.  Parties unknown had removed the free Hydro gel peelies from the razors (I checked and there were sticky spots, so there!), didn’t want any other crap, so was forced, forced I tell you, to get 12 Revlon nail polishes on two cards.  Used 12 of the $1/1 Revlon coupons from 9/12 S and got me a couple of $18 ecbs and 2 extra .50 bonus ecbs expiring in November.  Bound to be something by then. Oh, the magic coupon machine had $5 off on any Halloween merchandise, decor,  etc.  Well, these candy corn lights certainly qualify and at $4.99 they were my freebie of the day.  probably sponsored by com ed…

And this is why CVS will never, repeat, never, replace Wags in my heart or in the marketplace…
