Free Speed Stick @ Walgreens 2/2

Photo.jpgIn addition to all the Walgreen freebies I posted about last week, we can also toss two sticks of Speed Stick and/or Lady Speed Stock deodorant into our carts!  It’s on BOGO starting the 2nd and there’s a lovely BOGO coupon that came out in the 1/19 S.   Coupon value is up to $2.99.  And if you’re buying coupons for this, grab ’em now so you’ll ready.

Arctic blast shopping: Walgreens

Photo.jpgWhile I was running the Cuturelle/pur Absorb rolls at Walgreens yesterday, I notice lots of lots of Holiday gift sets at 75% off!  Saw AXE sets, which started me thinking … I checked, but sadly, the AXE gift set coupons were all expired.  However, there is a January AXE promotion where you get 2,000 points for every two products AND it’s on a B1G1 50% off sale this week AND the 1/26 rp had lots of coupons.  Since I was there anyway (more Culturelle) … I grabbed clearance body wash and spray to test what would happen.

What happens is that the clearance items ring up B1G1 50% off, too!  So you buy as many sets of two clearance as you can find, then use either the $2/2 or $1 coupons.  I’m in the high rent district, so my products were $3.79 (body spray) and $2.99 (shower gel).  Used $14 in mfr coupon and two $10 RRs (the $2/2 only counted as one coupon, so I had some wiggle room), bringing the total down to $2.51 high tax and 56¢ product.  Obviously you can make some good money on this if your stores have lower clearance prices…

I made 14,000 in regular points plus 1,700 additional points from the Winter Beauty promotion.  Remember do not use points to pay for these, since you won’t earn new points.  But since I used points to buy Culturelle and then used those $10 RRs, I was good to go.

Walgreens & Target – – before the Snow Days

Photo.jpgAnd yes, once again PITA will be staying home on Monday and Tuesday – oh, joy – so decided to run everything at one time and be a bum tomorrow. wait, that’s my usual modus operandi…

Walgreens is just a roll between the 10,000 points generated by pur Absorb and the $10 RR from Culturelle.  One nice thing is that if you find a bunch of pur Absorb in one location, you can run them all in one transaction and then use those points to buy the Culturelle at another location (those have to separate transactions, though).  Pay 18¢ per transaction.  I actually started with last week’s RRs on the food cream, so it was just the 18¢ OOP.  Obviously, you’re better off buying the Culturelle with points to start off.

Photo.jpg
Then on to Target for pizza, pop and Nicorette.  Do not ask me to explain how the registers at Target calculate totals because I don’t think it’s humanly possible.  Suffice to say the total OOP for the pictured items was $17.77; that’s with four $10 Target Nicorette coupons, four $15 mfr Nicorette coupons (printables); Cartwheel (10% off pizza & 20% off Nicorette), two B2G1 DiGiorno mfr coupon, 3 $1 off 2 DiGiorno pizzas Target coupons and 5% off using REDcard.

Walgreens for the witching hour

Not technically a tomorrow deal, more like a today deal with tomorrow coupons!  Old Spice shampoo, conditioner, styling products are B1G1 50% off this week and Sunday’s P&G has $2 coupons.  Not free, but if you have a DH who likes new, definitely worth $1 each ($3.99 shelf price).  Also picked up a few more Nature Made vitamins and supplements.

Dominicks, Walgreens & home, sweet, home

Photo.jpgWestchester Dominicks (Wolf and 31st) is still open – says until January 25th, but I don’t honestly see them lasting that long.  My family put away all the groceries before I could say anything, but it was pretty much candy, gum and four half gallons of Horizon 2% milk.  If you’re looking for cases of Stride gum in Mom and Loverboy flavors, this is your store.  The creep factor in the former is off the chart:  Hey, dude, what’s your mother taste like…

They also have walls of Philadelphia cream cheese:  bricks, whipped, lite and regular – all plain (unflavored).  If you missed out on the Target candy clearance, you’re bound to find what you want over here!  I bought a few cases of Root Beer Float Extra gum (like you don’t have any vices).  Lots of Lean Cuisine Honestly Good chicken entrees, Mrs. Smith pumpkin pie, Safeway pumpkin pie and Safeway ice cream and lots of different containers of whipped toppings (including a 5 lb box of vanilla-flavored topping). Found one of the non-dairy chips for Rachel – very bad cell reception, so this is a secret...shhhhh

Still had lots of vitamins and heath care products, but even at 75% off…

Stopped in at Walgreens and picked up the Topricin and Bach rescue pastilles plus a 2L of Dr. Pepper for First Born.  Used two $8 RR and the $1 mfr coupon plus 35¢ – – got back a $10 RR and a $6 RR.  Should be a good week… fyi, the $1 coupons I printed out four to a page wouldn’t scan…good thing I brought along Big Bertha (takes up an entire page).

Nasal Ease class action lawsuit – get up to $15 back without receipts

There is currently a class action lawsuit against Nasal Ease – get back your actual purchase price with receipt or $5 a purchase, up to $15 maximum, without.  In our case, it was a money maker back in 2012 and who keeps receipts for that long anyway?  Here’s the link to the post from back then – set the Way Back Machine, Sherman.

Walgreens February 2: ding, ding, ding – jackpot!

Lots of possibilities here, folks!  LOTS!

Mountain Dew Kickstart is $1 FARR.  These made me buzzy last time around, so I’m gonna pass unless I need fillers.

Jamieson Melatonin 60 ct $7 FARR.  I did not see this in the store and the online offering is for 100 ct bottles.  I’ll recheck when the next truckload comes in this week.  Possible it’s a new item for stores.

Azo Urinary Tract infection test strips 3 pk $8 FARR.  Carried in the feminine supplies aisle.

Azo Cranberry Urinary Tract health supplement 100 ct $10 FARR.  Also in the feminine supplies aisle.

Culturelle Probiotic 24 ct or 30 ct $10 FARR.  These last two offerings are almost word-for-word from the deal one year ago!  Same prices and RRs.  course there was a $1 Culturelle coupon in an Answers book, but that only served to mess up the roll!

Next 10 energy shots 2-pk for $5 FARR.  Didn’t see this on the shelf, but given the volume of energy products lately, that doesn’t mean anything!  I’ll check later in the week.

The ever-popular and ever FREE Ecotrin 45 ct bottles are $3 with 2,000 points back.    There should be a $1 coupon in that week’s paper, so free.  Not a big whoop to me, especially since they end up going to the food pantry anyway.   I cause pain, don’t suffer it!

Couple of rebate items (FAR) but the numbers look off to me, so I’ll investigate further (one item is on sale for $20 with a rebate, but shelf price is $34.99???)  They’re not rare items, either.

edit: Walgreens January 26th –

I’m only posting the actual rolls where I know what coupons are available now – there may be better coupons over the next couple of weeks.  I’ll update when there’s more definite info.

Culturele 30 ct $10 FARR.  It says select varieties, which may or may not include the children ones.  Next week has both 24ct and 30 ct varieties for the same $10 FARR deal, which pretty much covers all varieties.

pur-Absorb 28 pk 10,000 points (= $10).  This is a powdered iron supplement you add to water or juice.  PITA says it’s nasty.  Roll the Culturelle RR into the pur-Absorb and the pur-Absorb points into the Cuturelle.  Rinse and repeat.

KY Ultra gel 1.5 oz box $5.99 FARR (which will probably be $6).  There is a $2 coupon in 12/8 rp that excludes the 2 oz jelly.  This is the premium line so it’s gonna be a $2 MM.  Expiration date is 1/31, so don’t wait until the last day to run this.

Walgreens rolls for this week

Current Walgreens deals

Topricin foot cream 4 oz $10 FARR.  There is a $1 manufacturer coupon here, but its use would really depend on how coupon-friendly your store/cashier was, since 1) it’s a pdf, meaning all the numbers will be the same (duh) and 2) there doesn’t seem to be an expiration date!

Bach Rescue pastilles $6 FARR.  Boy, they’ve been pushing this homeopathic stress relief for a few weeks now!  Must be that we’re all stressing out over the Holiday bills coming in the mail!

h+ care medicated hemorrhoid wipes $6 FARR.

However you roll this week (if you do), remember to always start your first purchase using loyalty points.

i-cool hot flash relief cloths $7 FARR.  I only saw one box on the shelf, so not sure if it’s a warehouse or individual store issue.  Something to know in advance before you plan your rolls.

Energy shots MM @ Wags

Walgreens was unable to stock the Energyxcentric supplement for the $8 sale/$8 RR, so they are substituting the Rock On 6-pks.  The Orange Octane flavor is being discontinued in both the 2- and 6-pack sizes.  Ignore the little ones, ’cause they’re not worth spit.  Grab all the 6-packs you can find because they are $5.79 and generating the $8 RR!  Pair it with the Bach Rescue stress relief gum ($4.99 with $5 RR); you’ll pay slightly over $10 (use your points) and get back $13 in RRs ($5 & $8).  Sweet!
