don’t forget Walmart for Ultra price match

clippingcouponsA reminder that you can also price match the current Post cereal sale at Ultra at your local Walmart and get the overage back into your hot little hands.  While the Walmart policy specifically states you don’t need to bring in the ad, I usually do just to move things along justincase I get a cashier who’s been in a coma for the past couple of years.

One reader picked up 50+ boxes of cereal and made almost $16…great shopping trip!

Kingsford Charcoal @ Walmart – cheap

This week’s Walmart ad has twin-packs of Kingsford Original Charcoal for $6.98 (page 35 in the online ad or on the overleaf for the print ad).  These are the 15 lb bags, so a great price already.  Use the Get a FREE 18 oz KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce when you buy 12.5 lbs or larger Kingsford Charcoal coupon to make it even better!  Coupon is in the 3/03 s.

Schick price match @ Walmart

8751538416_a892c631b7_nIf you just don’t feel like driving to Food4Less or just want Hydro 5 cartridges, head over to Walmart with your sales ad for a price match. Each box was $12.57 so even without the coupon it was $10 less. Use the $2 coupon from 4/21 S for 98¢ boxes!  I’ll head over to F4L for the Hydro Silk in another day or two.

Walmart shopping: -.66

Had a few of the $5/2 Almay coupons expiring tomorrow, so headed over to Walmart to shop. Was just going to take the cash and run, but saw these 2-lb packs of Jasmine rice for $1.88, so took five (which was pretty much all the overage I had).

Those of you interested in shopping on someone else’s nickel should clip the $2.50 Poligrip coupons from today’s red plum (not the one with the Zyrtec coupon). Walmart has these Poligrip .75 oz tubes for $1.72 (coupon limits use to .75 oz and above).   Don’t have a use for this?  Donate to the food pantry – it’s a non-food item they will gratefully accept.

newest coupons to print – $2 BENGAY q!

Although this BENGAY coupon says Redeemable at Walgreens and carries the Walgreens logo, it is a standard manufacturers coupon – use it wherever you’ll get the best deal! Walmart has the vanishing scent tube for $4.23; Target has a current promotion where buying three tubes gets you a $5 gift card.  Each tube is just under $5, so $15 for three, less $6 in coupons and get a $5 card back. You’ll be paying about $1.33 a tube for a lot less pain.  Remember, you can print two like coupons per computer, not printer.
$2.00 off any (1) BENGAY Product
$2.00 off any L'Oreal Revitalift, Youth Product
$2.00 off 2 Right Guard TD5 or Xtreme Deodorants
$1.00 off Stridex Conditioning Acne Scrub

shot down at Meijer – recovered at Walmart

This week’s TRU ad has a store coupon for $8 off any 128 oz or more laundry detergent – Meijer has Purex  and Arm & Hammer on sale for $6.99 and there’s a $1 coupon in 3/3 rp for Purex.  I read and reread the Meijer coupon policy since I’m not a steady Meijer shopper (I live in Lisle – Google Meijer, the IL Supreme Court and Lisle for grins) and thought I could use the coupon there.  I was wrong.  Apparently, because it doesn’t say any one particular brand, it can’t be accepted.  Which meant a whole heck of a lot of time shopping for overage items…but they were very pleasant and courteous.

So drove over to the SuperWalmart in Bolingbrook to pick up a few more burritos and to hunt for Almay.  You see here 52 assorted burritos and five packs of Oreos.  I did find out something interesting, though:  Walmart will price match, but not require purchasing in multiples.  In other words, if Food4Less or Ultra or Jewel is running a Buy 10 items and get $5 off (or whatever combo), Walmart will match that lowest price without the quantity purchase.  I took five packs of Oreos anyway because I could run into a medical emergency and they’d be valuable to have on hand…right?

Over on the – there’s a $1/2 coupon in 1/20 S, which would result in very cheap soap, considering you’d only pay tax on the 98¢!  If any of you have tried this or understand TRU coupon policy, let us know.  I plan to stop there tomorrow morning.

Walmart for freesies

PITA needed slippers real bad. How bad? Glad you asked. Her current slippers merited a warning letter from DCFS…

Drove over to Walmart to see what I could find. What I found was a slipper clearance, seven Gold Bond skin creams and a couple of Almay makeup removers. You can see where we’re going with this, right?  Used seven of the $1 coupons from 2/3 rp on the 97¢ tubes and the $5/2 Almay IP on the $1.14 removers.  I would have taken more to eliminate any slipper cost, but this was all they had.  But never fear, there’s always another Walmart!

Here’s the Almay coupon again – it’s a sweet one. Print out the Rimmel one to save on ink: The Almay will print over the entire page otherwise.  Remember, you can print two copies per computer.
$5.00 off any TWO (2) Almay Cosmetic Product
$1.00 off Rimmel Bronzing Product

Walmart for less than $5

Happened to have the current Fiesta sales ad in my bag – large Haas avocados were 2/$1, which Walmart price-matched.  Took 50 of the El Monterey burritos, six avocados and two limes.  Total was $4.54…damned expensive limes!  The $1 off any El Monterey product coupon is in the 3/3 red plum.

All the news that fits…Walmart-style

Was just about to drive over to the SuperWalmart for *cough* a few *cough* of the free burritos, when the daily Huffington Post hit my inbox.  Funny, but I never considered a handgun as a couponing accessory…

Mary Frances Alday Accused Of Waving Handgun Around Walmart When Employees Wouldn’t Honor Dollar-off Coupon

Some people will do anything to save a buck — even wave a gun at a Walmart employee.

Officials in Crawfordville, Fla., say when Mary Frances Alday, 61, was told she couldn’t use an Internet coupon at Walmart, she got angry. Real angry.

She allegedly called the manager who denied the dollar-off coupon “a bitch,” and then intentionally struck her with a shopping cart, according to The Smoking Gun.

Alday was escorted out of Walmart, but she went to her car, grabbed a loaded Smith & Wesson .38 Special and came back in the store and threatened employees with it, WTXL-TV reported.  Read the entire (short) article here.

Walmart gonna make me rich!

I’d read about this deal on a lot of sites, but they all had one thing in common: You would be paying about a dime for a bar of soap (plus tax). Neutrogena is a great product and all, but I kind of have enough soap right now…okay, you got me. I have enough to take us through the Apocalypse.

Thought I’d check out the local Walmart and just run a couple of bars as a post, in case you weren’t as soap-ready.  The shelf tags read $1.97 for both scented and fragrance-free 3.5 oz bars, so I loaded up, used the $5/2 coupon from today’s Smart Source and got back $8.52 (amount is circled on receipt).  I actually had over $11 in overage, but this is high tax stuff, folks.
