Free gluten-free bread (free-free bread?)

Photo.jpgThis week Target (back page of ad) has a deal on breakfast-themed items:  Buy 2 and get a free loaf of bread.  Only bread restrictions are that they can’t be buns, frozen or bakery loaves.  Which does not eliminate $5.49 Goodbye Gluten bread!  I picked up four bags of Archer Farms dark chocolate truffle coffee (drool) and two of the pictured loaves.  Total after a $1.50/2 mobile coupon, a $1.50/2 register catalina, the 5% Cartwheel plus my REDcard brought my OOP down to $19.10.  The bread is for Rachel – would be too weird to bake my own bread and then buy gluten-free, right?  This bread has no gluten or dairy; Target carried white and multigrain varieties.

Note, I was going to try this with the cheap clearance AF coffees, but they only had the Pecan Pie ones for pennies less.  If you like Pumpkin Spice, that one was on sale for only $4.99, not the $5.99 for all the other (non-organic) varieties.

Target – – chocolate chips to bake

Photo.jpg
SuperTarget on 59 for more Ice Mountain, still selling for 50¢ a bottle – sale tags gone, but I price-checked.  I’m still seeing Holiday coffee blends on clearance; today I saw Archer Farms Pecan Pie, but it was over $5!!!  Do I look rich??? Print this $2.00 off two Starbucks Packaged Coffee products and carry it with you.  While on coupons.com, swap your zip code to 60126 and search under beverages – you’ll find a $1/3 Ice Mountain sparkling beverage coupon which has reset.  enjoy.

And you can never have too many chocolate chip cookies.  Use the $1 coupon from 12/15 S stacked with the $2/3 Target coupon, plus each two pack purchase takes off $2 instantly at the register. Your three packs of $2.69 cookies works out to $1.07 for all three plus tax. While you’re allow four like per transaction, the numbers don’t match between the Target & mfr coupons, so run ’em in sets of 3. Drag the whole family if you have a hairy Target.

Happy belated Valentine’s Day – – there were more…

edit – paid less! Target in a snowstorm: dedicated…or just plain nuts?

Photo.jpg

Tried a different Target (Willowbrook) since I was out and about getting my Dunkin’ Donuts chicken sandwiches and grazing the Walgreens along the way – great day for it, right?  New Target mobile coupon for Archer Farms coffee – $1.50/2 which played nicely with the 5% Cartwheel;  Dunkin’ Donuts coffee still has the 10% Cartwheel coupon.  The Magic card sets were $8.98 each.

EDIT:  There is a Cartwheel on the Angel Soft which took off $2.25, so my OOP was actually $34.47 – but my per roll amount was right.  math is hard…

Each double roll was was Angel Soft toilet paper is $14.99 for the 36 double roll packs – buy 3 and get a $10 Target gift card.  Print this $2.00 off Angel Soft Bath Tissue 12 Double Roll coupon as many times as you have commputers.  If you only have the one computer, there’s a . With $2 coupons, I paid $38.97 and got back $10.  Since I paid with a REDcard, I saved an additional 5%; without a REDcard, you’ll pay 27¢ for each double roll.

edit with new coupon: Target – different store, mostly same stuff

Photo.jpg

Hit up the SuperTarget on Rte 59 this afternoon and found pretty much the same assortment of clearance coffee.  Printed out more of the $1.00 off one (1) bottle of Spree coupon, which, after the temporary price cut to $1, makes it free!  Picked up a few more of the Dunkin Donuts clearance coffees because they’re tasty and I have the 10% Cartwheel; Archer Farms is also clearance, but only 5% on Cartwheel.  Clearance end cap had jars of giada sun-dried tomatoes for $1.74, so I grabbed a couple – nothing is more depressing than fresh tomatoes in winter.  Also printed out a few of the $1/3 Ice Mountain coupons because they’re on sale this month for 2/$1 or 50¢ for each set of three (click on either coupon link and switch zip code to 60126 by using the LOCAL box and then switching back to the coupons tab)! Used my REDcard and ended up spending $23.57 for a total of 5 bags of coffee, 4 Spree, 2 jars of tomatoes and 15 bottles of Ice Mountain – they had raspberry/lime, which I’ve never tried.  If you’re a Starbucks coffee drinker, print out this $2.00 off two Starbucks Packaged Coffee products coupon because I’ve seen SB on the clearance end caps at two stores now.

And since you’re al such pros at switching zip codes now, switch on over to 77477 (yelllow rose of Texas, y’all) and print out this $3 coupon on Honey MELT organic buttery spread.  I’m pretty sure I saw this at Whole Foods for about $4 every day price.  Let’s see about sales and coupons!  High value coupons like this normally don’t last long, so please print now.

edit with coupon: Target once again – free stuff

Photo.jpg

There’s a new printable coupon for a zero-calorie, non-GMO sparkling beverage called Spree.  Normally priced at $1.49, it’s on a temporary price cut to $1 – – which makes it free with this $1.00 off one (1) bottle of Spree coupon!  The coffees were not only on clearance, but both Dunkin’ Donuts and Archer Farms are on Cartwheel for 10% and 5% off, respectively.  Used my REDcard and ended up spending $12.86 for 6 Spree and 4 bags of coffee.  Not quite Dominicks shopping, but it’ll do in a pinch.  The large bag of coffee grounds was free from Starbucks – you use it for your gardens and evergreens.  wonderful stuff!  This was the Woodridge Target, where there was lots of Dunkin’ Donuts, Archer House and Starbucks blondes on the end caps along the freezers.  Use this $2.00 off two Starbucks Packaged Coffee products coupon!

Here’s a shot of the Spree shelf – unfortunately, they don’t have a whole lot of flavors.

Edit (math fail) Walgreens & Target – my new obsessions

Photo.jpg If the Converse shoes look familiar, that’s because the size 6 I bought for PITA turned out to be DUDE shoes! Yep, that size 6 was a guy’s 6 or woman’s 8.  While I consider myself to be extremely accepting of anyone who has even the slightest chance of making me money (well, it’s true!), I would beat FirstBorn to death with his own leg if he evinced a desire to wear these shoes.

So I trekked back to Target to see if the size 4 versions were still on the shelf. They were! I picked up four packs of GE Reveal lighting products (read: lightbulbs) for the overage (plus 25% Cartwheel) and a Heath bar (shaddup) – OOP was $1.06.  Told PITA that we could wear them together and people would think we were twins...I think her reaction constitutes elder abuse.

Hydrogen peroxide is, as I’m sure you will chime in about (’cause you’re all such clever readers) is a wonderful alternative to harsh commercial cleaners.  Been reading up how it works beautifully to remove bloodstains.  Side note:  Rachel said she was a little concerned with my sudden interest in removing blood stains – stains significant enough to require 12 bottles…but I digress…and he still lives.  Google household uses for hydrogen peroxide and you’ll see what I mean.  This week’s Walgreen ad has a coupon for the Well at Walgreens hydrogen peroxide – 3/$1 (limit 6).  There is also a monthly sale going on for B1G1 50% off.  Through the miracle of Walgreen’s registers, they are making it a true BOGO sale, so you will get 6 for $1.00 plus low tax.

Happy (shudder) cleaning…

Out and about shopping…my good deed pays off

Photo.jpg Waited until Superbowl was well and truly underway before heading out to the stores – that nuts I am not!  Stopped at Jewel to post-redeem some coupons and grab a few of their new Big Book of Savings.  Nothing particularly fascinating, but since they’re store coupons and don’t expire until 2/25, they’ll have time to prove themselves. While there saw an employee about to leave – – a non-driving employee. Offered to drive him home…to Westmont (the things I do!).  Since I would be driving past the 63rd St. Target on my return, decided to stop for more “stuff.”

Photo.jpg

Between my $9/2 Reveal lighting products mfr coupons, the $2 Target coupons and Cartwheel plus the slight overage on the Iams cat food, I needed overage stuff.  Converse shoes were $8.98 on clearance (in PITA’s size!), I can always use more vinegar for laundry, Lay’s chips we won’t discuss and the big one…the Magic the Gathering set.  Why?  Look closely at the next photo.
Photo.jpg

The boxes with the “Do Not Back Stock” stickers are ringing up at $8.98, the same set without the sticker is $29 (as are all other varieties).  You do the math.

Total OOP after coupons, Cartwheel and REDcard was $16.14.  I’m liking this chain!

Continuing home, stopped at Wags for a few FARR items – it was like a ghost town in there – nobody to bug me!

Toy clearance @ Target.com (Matchbox, Laser Pegs, Barbie, Skylee Dragons…)

UntitledThe Skylee Lovable Dragons are only $17.48 for the Green and $18.64 for the Purple – they’re considerably more on Amazon.  Use your REDcard and save 5% more!

14079659_120828203000Matchbox Power Shift Fire Truck is now only $10.18 (40% off).  Again, even less with a REDcard.

14493784_201306171114

Barbie Holiday Ballet 4-Pack for $29.99 (40% off).  Create a magical ballet performance starring Kristyn, Twinkletoes the Prince, Poinsettia and Snowflake.  When attached to the base they can really dance and it plays music, too!

14119373_120727123000Lots of Laser Pegs Building Sets.  This Racer set is down to $9.98.  Use the REDcard…

Target, Walgreens and in between

Photo.jpg

Did one full loop from my house to Target and back – whew! Target had a stack of GE Reveal $4 mfr coupons on the shelf and the ceiling fan bulbs were $3.84 – – used the overage from the $4 and the $2 Target coupons to reduce the price paid for my six DiGiorno pizzas and Nicoderm patches (14 ct boxes); the slight overage from the Iams wet cat food helped to reduce my OOP as well. So the total for the bulbs, pizzas/Coke, Iams and Nicoderm was $80…price of one box of Nicoderm is $39.99.

Photo.jpgWhile at Target, look for these Game Day Greats coupon booklets.  They contain $14 in store coupons on products like Kraft cheese, Ro-Tel products… Dates are through 3/2/14. they also contain recipes.

The price of Speedstick at Walgreens (at least by me) is well over $3 – obviously not gonna help us with a BOGO sale when the BOGO coupon value is only up to $2.99. Solution? Grab the clearance varieties (check the UPC against the clearance sticker because things get messed up) which are also ringing up BOGO and you’ll end up paying high tax. I got the four here for 27¢ and earned 150 points.  Looks like they’re clearing out quite a few men’s and women’s varieties.

Hope you’ve been successful in your dog and cat food stockup – I have!
