Dominicks – aghhhh!

Has there ever been a shopping trip at Dominicks where everything went right?  Seriously?  I loaded up my Just4U deals and Deal Match (for the Hillshire sausaage and Safeway bacon) yesterday, so plenty of time to make sure it was on there.  AND I PRINTED OUT THE PAGE~ good thing!

You see here two .99 18-ct eggs (limit two) and the four Hillshire chicken-smoked sausages.  It’s a double deal here because it’s matching the Jewel price and having a BOGO on it as well.  Buy four for $6 and use the $1 coupon from 10/16 rp.  That worked perfectly.  The O Organic spices or herbs came off as my FREEbie…but the bacon rang up at $5.99!  So the first one I didn’t catch, which necessitated a trip to customer service – the second and third purchase the cashier manually entered the right amount.

Mind you, everyone is always friendly and apologetic, but still!  It’s extremely frustrating!.  Note:  The bacon is WAY better looking than the Jewel brand.

 

Extreme Couponing – .87 the local way!

You are looking at 12 jars of Dole fruit, two Fruit Crisps and two Fruit in Cups plus a bakery bread.  Used all free coupons (including bread cat which PITA found).  Total OOP was .87 (damned taxes).  FREE coupons come directly from the manufacturer, so start writing your letters of praise now…

And unlike those lucky bastards on EC, Illinois gets its cut on everything.

But don’t worry, I’m going back with another coupon…

Stopped at Jewel for dinner (shhhhh!).  You see here one of two duplicate transactions, broken down as follows:  four TGIF meals; one Dr. Pepper Ten; two V-8; four Dole pineapple; four Kikkoman panko crumbs.  Started with the $5/25 coupon for Jewel stores, then used four FREE Dole coupons (from mfr), FREE Dr. Pepper 10 (10/9 s), BOGO  Kikkoman and here and both $1 and .75 here.)  These links were all working as of yesterday.

I will return with four  $1/2 V-8 coupons (11/6 r).  Between the Preferred Card savings and coupons, the savings were almost $40.  and that’s the way we roll…

Jewel got in another large order of TGIF meals – so far they’ve taken in three cases of each flavor with each delivery!  and they’re still running low!  You guys rock!  There will be another delivery of the Kikkoman products Tuesday afternoon (unsure of time), if you’re going for the breading.

Kinda like you’re running around all over so you can rush home and finish cleaning, laundry…oh, you know – Just a Normal Day!

Picked up 6 of the Smuckers at CVS – kinda figured I’d wait awhile on the Jif, don’tchaknow.  Each set of two was $4.09 after the $1/2 in today’s Red Plum.  Get back $3 ecbs on each transaction.  Limit one set per card.  After you’ve hit your limits, I’d advise hitting up Jewel for the same products, same 2/$5 with the $1/2 coupon (only for Smuckers) and get back a $1 OYNO cat.  Once you’ve hit the ecb limit at CVS, they lose the price edge.

I drove to the Bolingbrook Food4Less for the cheap LOL butter:  $2.48 lb when you buy ten of their mix and match items.  I chose 17 butters (’cause that was all the $1 blinkies I had) and three coffee creamers (.55 blinkies).  Threw in two packs of tortillas and my OOP came to $31.09.  eeekkk!  Well, let’s face it, $1.48 for butter is a very, very good price and it freezes well.

Jewel was a quick run for eight of the TGIF meals, four Dole pineapple, four Who Nu cookies, two V-8 juice, one Wild Harvest salad mix, bag of frozen broccoli and couple pounds of organic bananas.  Used the TGIF coupons, four FREE Dole coupons (from the mfr), $4 off the cookies, two .75 coupons for V-8 (from mfr) and three FREE cats for the bananas (.79), broccoli (1.99) and salad (up to $4).  Total OOP was $10.09, but I got $4 for the TGIF and a buck for each of the Dole and V-8 transactions.  So what should we claim?  $4.09?

Today is the last day of the 2/$4 Who Nu sale price, so if you want/need any, better stop in.  I took the last of the Oreo-type ones and got a rain check for 12 more.

Needed to roll a couple of expiring RRs and drop off some winners’ envelopes, so headed to the Lisle Jewel.  Picked up four of the TGIF chicken fajitas, a small bunch of organic bananas (.10 more a pound than regular) and a quart of cream.  Total was $13.95, less $9 in RRs and four TGIF coupons.  So .95 OOP get back $4 OYNO.

Note:  The TGIF catalina prints out after you scan four, but before you pay, so if you don’t see it print, cancel the transaction – there is something wrong.  Easier to just cancel at that point than to pay and go to customer service.

Thanks for entering – I wish I had enough coupons for you all.  Next best thing is to order them online.  Unfortunately, this was pretty much regional (Dede doesn’t show any) with only one seller on eBay.

I just saw a $1 TGIF on coupons.com.  HURRY AND PRINT THIS NOW!!!!!  It was under Food in zip code 60532 (although it’s probably showing on most zips).

So far I’ve clipped 270 of the $1 TGIF coupons – aaaaie!  So now it’s time to let you all share in my bounty:  The Goddess will give sets of 20 coupons each to seven names selected with our friend, the Random Number Generator.  Why only seven?  Glad you asked.  I’ve decided to put three stacks of coupons up for any of you able/willing to pick them up at the Lisle Jewel.  Why this decision?  I’m rapidly running out of stamps and I want to help out this Jewel.  And stop with the questions already!

The Lisle Jewel got a heads-up about the best products for the Thursday sale and they will be stocking heavily the following items:  TGIF single entree pouches and boxes; Green Giant canned vegetables and Dole pineapple.  Just learned (thanks Rachel) that the upcoming inserts will contain a .50/2 Dole pineapple, so between the coupons and the OYNO cat we’re talking about .50 a can!  These three items alone are worth a trip to a store where they treat you like your coupons are valuable – – and they will have stock.

End of commercial rant.  First three willing to pick up at Jewel get envelopes deposited with customer service.  End of giveaway is Thursday at 10 am.  Coupons will be mailed out that day (or as soon as you send me addys).  Plenty of time to hit the stores before the Jillites get out there Sunday or Monday.
