IPs to hold and cherish

Well, print ’em first, of course.  CVS in Naperville is currently doing their resets on all cosmetics.  This means extremely cheap, if not free make-up from all lines.  Every store operates differently (some may cut the price to a buck to move it out, while others are satisfied with “only” a 75% reduction), and slightly different schedules, but ask at your store for a general guideline.

$2.00 off Maybelline New York Dream Face

$1.00 off TWO (2) Ricola© Dual Action

$0.75 off one Ricola© Dual Action

$0.30 off 4 oz. or larger HARIBO product

$1.00 off any JOSÉ OLÉ brand itemJewel has this at a crazy-high $5.99, so print and get your double price:  $3.99 is still high for me, but these are oh-so-tasty, especially while watching those SuperBowl commercials.  Puhleez, you thought I’d be watching a football game?

CVS – Skintimate MM

This deal originated on Living Rich with Coupons, but like all online deals, it doesn’t always translate to a deal where you are.  I can safely say that this deal is working now, but for how long?  I have no idea…

You see here cans of Skintimate shave cream – any variety works.  My CVS had them at $3.99 (ouch!), higher than other parts of the country, so if your price starts out lower, an even better MM.  Use the 55¢ coupon from 1/15 S (Tylenol on the cover) and after tax I was paying $3.73.  Out pops $4 in ebs.  It didn’t appear to be limited (according to the receipt), I started running them in 4’s and 5’s so I could burn some ecbs.  Tax on gift card and there you go.

Again, I would not wait too long to run this deal because it is not advertised and you won’t be able to get a rain check since it’s not on sale!  But a great price on a great product, huh?

CVS today

Keep checking the clearance end cap for reset items – you can save a ton of cash even without coupons!  I believe that Naperville is now starting on the cosmetics wall, which should easily take a week or two.  A reminder that those of you who completed the last John Frieda survey and got the FREE hair color coupon, the expiration date should be the end of January, so take it in to CVS and throw another Frieda product in to get over $15 and you’ll get another $5 in ecbs.

And it seems the American Greetings FREE card when you buy three has reset.  Well, I couldn’t find it earlier today but then Bam! there it was.  Print out this American Greetings Card $1/3  coupon (it’s a pdf) and stack it with the CVS store coupon (store coupon = same coupon number for all) and you pay tax on three cards and get back $3 in ecbs.  Note that this only is free is you’re buying the buck cards.  If you wanna be a big spender, you’re on the wrong site so leave now.

CVS psa

Don’t forget to check your local CVS for their reset clearance items. I loaded up a cart today at Naperville – and no, Emily didn’t alert me! – when I happened to see a full clearance end cap. This is a great way to stock up on skin care products, especially if you’re using the ecb Beauty Club $$ from the L’Oreal and Axe deals! suhweet!

The Naperville CVS has lots of 12-pks for the sale, including Mellow Yellow, Fanta, Pibbs Xtra, Diet Coke with Lime…This stuff is selling at an unbelievable clip, so if you’re reliving your youth, give Emily a call.

Quick note to remind you to check the expiration date on the FREE John Frieda hair color coupons we got in the mail from their Facebook promo: My coupon expires 1/31, just in time for the spend $15 get $5 ecbs on selected products of which John Frieda is a part. It’s selling for $12 so throw something else in the cart, use a coupon and more FREE MONEY! This sale is in the January 29th ad.

Brita cancels rebate! – they’ve reversed their decision!

Well this just sucks donkey balls.  Brita exhausted their supplies because people bought their damned products, right?  So had no one bought their pitchers Brita would still have plenty on hand…right, that’s a pretty stupid way of running a business.  And a piss-poor way to generate goodwill.

My adivce?  Return the damned things if you haven’t yet used them (and if you’ve kept the receipt). Unless, of course, you bought it ’cause you like it.  If CVS ships back a few hundred to the company for credit, maybe Brita will think twice about this nonsense in the future.

Wait, before you return the pitchers, first lodge a complaint on their Facebook page (you don’t need to “friend” them – which would be the ultimate insult imo), telling them that you’re gonna return them and the store can just ship them back.   Let them sit on that one for a while….rat bastards.

IPs to print RIGHT NOW

These two coupons just appeared.. in the nick of time for the CVS 2/$6 sale starting the 22nd!

SC Johnson – Buy fantastik get $2 off Pledge or Armstrong
SC Johnson – $2.00 off Pledge or Armstrong Floor cleaner

One coupon had already hit its print limit before I posted this, so hurry before they both disappear.  Using both coupons, you will get these products (Pledge, fantastik, Scrubbing Bubbles) for a buck a bottle…not too shabby.  And I took these coupons in to check – we’ll be fine.

Other CVS MM deal on 15th – update

Emily only has a couple of the Brita pitchers left (after special orders).  If you want/need any, give her a call ASAP (630/548-2057)

Although I spoke with people about this earlier, I didn’t post it because, frankly, it’s so limited in scope that I didn’t think to mention it.  MUM convinced me that I should post, so here it is:  There is a $10 Brita Pitcher Rebate that makes the pour-through pitcher on sale for $14.99 a money maker.  How?  Use the $4 coupon from 12/4 S to bring the cost down to $10.99.  You get $5 ecbs, which brings your OOP to $5.99.  But Wait!!!  Submit the receipt to Brita for the $10 rebate and you’ve make $4.01. It’s only the pitcher that works for the rebate, so don’t buy the refills unless you really use them (gasp!).

Like I said, it’s so limited in scope that I didn’t see many of you picking up on it.  Also, more and more banks are refusing to accept second party checks for deposit.  So unless your Fluffy has her own bank account…

CVS Coca cola update info – all good news…

Heads up on the CVS Coke orders:  Yes, Emily can get Mello Yello and Mr. Pibb from the Coke distributor, so anyone wanting those blast from the past drinks, give her a call.  Also, if you are planning on a large order (10+) before this weekend, please call her ASAP.  Same goes for large orders (10+) for next week’s sale.

Emily will be at the store tonight until 10p, Wednesday 7a until 3p and then she’s out until Saturday 7a until 3p.

CVS $25 gift card survey has started

The Naperville store manager is so pleased over sales that he wants to reward us.  Starting today, when you get one of those surveys on your receipt, call and record your answers.  It’s only a couple of questions (honest, I do them all the time) and then it tells you if you’re an instant winner – sadly, I have never won. However, this time around one person will win a $25 CVS gift card just for returning with the survey receipt.  You write your name and phone number on the receipt (the part with the survey info only) and at the end of every month Emily will draw one lucky winner’s name for a $25 CVS gift card, good at any CVS location for booze, cigarettes…whatever.  There is no limit to the number of entries you can have.  Obviously they’re taking our word that we’ve completed the survey and just as obvious is that they won’t know what numbers we gave.  I should say here that the scale is 1-5 with 1 being “I wouldn’t bring my sick dog here!” to 5 “I want to bear that store manager’s child,” and that anything less than a 5 counts against them!  Yup, I couldn’t believe it, either, but that’s the corporate world for you.

So here’s the condensed book version:

1.  Buy stuff;
2. Call the 800 number whenever you get a survey on your receipt;
3. Give ’em all 5’s (it’s self-preservation, folks);
4. Write your name and phone number on the survey part of the receipt;
5. Dump them all in the box behind the front counter next time you go in.

Emily will be the only one handling this deal, so don’t ask questions of any one else. You can comment here ’cause Emily reads and comments here all the time.  Oh, and obviously this drawing is only going on at the Naperville store although the gift card is valid anywhere.  They’re a great way to pay for tax!

Valuable IPs for CVS clearance

While clearing the CVS shelves of hair color, I noticed quite a lot of John Frieda shampoo and conditioner products also on clearance, mostly the color-protect lines.  Print out this $3.00 off 2 John Frieda Sheer Blonde, Brunette or Red and you will be getting them for almost free (maybe 30¢ each).  This is an excellent value and I would strongly recommend you print these coupons now and keep them with you in case you find a CVS I haven’t yet hit…just saying.
