Who knew that extreme couponing was a thing in Belgium?

The home of NATO, world-famous chocolates and Jean-Claude Van Damme is also apparently home to plenty of people who like to clip coupons and clear shelves, in a quest to get a whole lot for very little.  Apparently there were NO LIMITS on coupon use!  dayum, why doesn’t Belgium every show up on those Best Places to Retire list?  Here’s the Coupons in the News article.

Is it a prescient prediction, or a clever ploy aimed at keeping his competitors off balance? Either way, the head of Coupons.com parent company Quotient Technology is doubling down on his declaration that there are tough times ahead for the newspaper coupon insert industry. Now, he’s suggesting that this could be the beginning of their end. Here’s the entire Coupons in the News article, but my take is that this guy is talking so much BS he should be running for office…

If you have T-Mobile phone service, they offer T-Mobile Tuesdays, where you get free stuff through their APP (also online).  Add the APP, then view your deals on the Home screen and tap SAVE to add them to Your Stuff.  You usually have a week to redeem once added.  They also offer gas discounts and other stuff but the freebies are the best!

KFC and Crocs teamed on a collaborative line of limited-edition, fried chicken-themed clogs, according to a news release.  The companies are producing two pieces of footwear: An “avant-garde” Kentucky Fried Chicken X Crocs Bucket Clog with high platform heels that are based on KFC’s meal buckets, and a more standard Classic Clog.  I’m not surprised, given those KFC fire logs from the 2018 winter.  Here’s the article.

It’s hard to find a grocery store that still doubles coupons these days. And soon, it will be even harder.

Kroger’s Milwaukee-based Roundy’s division, which includes the chains Pick ‘n Save, Copps, Mariano’s and Metro Market, will no longer offer double coupons effective this weekend. Unlike most of Kroger’s other stores, which used to double coupons every day, Roundy’s stores had offered “Double Daze” promotions on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays, so couponers had to time their shopping trips just right.
