Why do I do this to myself? Why!? Since I had the $10 Walgreens Cash Rewards coupon valid today-only and there was a deal on clearance chocolate and Cheez-Its … well, there you go. Wanted a register receipt, but woman told me it would be emailed to me. Said I din’t want that, I want the register to print it. She told me I should have asked before she sent it to emai and waved what looked like a cell phone at me! Said I didn’t hear her offer me that option. bitch. And this was a store that did a huge business with me back in the day (no, not Lisle). OOP was $23.11 and I got back $10.21 in Rewards. The Cheez-Its are BOGO, but ringing up less (8 were $7.16) while the Ghirardelli were a $1.99 clearance that still were part of the BOGO 40% off (10 for $14.30).
Stopped at a different Jewel today for something that was supposedly on the shelf – it wasn’t and had been OOS for over three weeks. According to this article in Coupons in the News, I would have then rolled through an aisle or two and picked up something else. I walked through the coffee aisle and saw they had more of this coffee marked down to $2, but rings up at $1.50. Way too flavored for us as-is, but mixed with 75% unflavored coffee it tastes great. Also picked up 2 Cheep Chicken bags with the never-ending $10 deli coupon. Am I going to hell for this? Probably, but at least I’ll know most of the inhabitants. See you there 🙂
