OK, it’s been confirmed: The Sinex will be on sale March 6-12 at a price of $5.99, so a very small MM. My feeling is that it’s still a good way to roll some of those $3 Motrin RRs we’re going to be stuck with. If you do plan on running this scenario, please let me know how many coupons you’ll be looking to use, so I can let our wonderful Wags know to stock up. A sale with no product does us no good.

While I don’t have all the specifics right now, I do know that the 2/27 P&G insert is showing another $4 Sinex coupon.  The good news is that the $10 RR when you buy $20 in Vicks Dayquil/Nyquil products promotion runs through March 26.  The bad news is that this March sale will not be nearly as sweet a MM, as it’s only a way for Wags to clear out the cold and flu merchandise (from their shelves into my basement, apparently).  I’m hearing $5.99 for a price point ( a $2.04 MM) and second week of March for sale dates.

I’ll update tomorrow with more info.  It’s your call whether you want to put in orders for coupons while the prices are still cheap.

Taking a break here from spitting DSL nails to alert everyone about the fantastic MM coming up in a couple of weeks.  Wags will be having 20 ct Motrin IB on sale for $3 with a $3 RR.  Well, it just so happens that the 1/9 S2 has a $6/2 coupon for various products, including the Motrin IB, so we’re looking at a $3 MM for every two we buy.  If you don’t have sufficient supply, check out Dede.  This is a great way to build up some extra cash.

I’ve already alerted “my” Wags to stock up hard and heavy, because each deal will require the purchase of two products.   Coincidentally, I just got handed a stack of that same insert, so another 16 inserts to add to my collection.

I like these deals that use coupons from older inserts; it takes time for inserts to filter on down the pike until they rest in my hot little (coupon) box.  my, my, you durty gurl

Rather a snoozer at Wags this week, but now that the AT&T guy has gone (told you it would be a guy), I can get dressed and go on with my real life – deal hunting!

Today only is an overlap between the Quaker Oats Quick Oats (the cardboard tube) $1.50 sale price and an RR promotion.  If you have any $1/1 coupons from the 1/2 R2 insert (we used them on the instants deal a few weeks ago), buy 5, pay $7.50 less $5 in coupons and get back a $3 RR.  If you don’t have any or only a few, it works like this:  buy 3, get $1; buy 4, get $2, buy 5 or more and get back $3.  I’ve unearthed six more coupons so I’ll probably do one round of five and leave one coupon on the shelf to pay it forward.

As in Skippy and Garnier…So far, I’ve picked up 40 jars of PB and about 6 or 9 (I tend to lose track) of the Herbashine and Nutrisse.  Why no pictures?  Don’t have them yet!  When there is a small window of opportunity like in these deals, I place my order and pay; if the orders don’t come in before the end of the sale, it won’t matter, ’cause I’m covered. I did the same with the Splenda BOGO coupons and the $2.99 sale a couple of weeks ago.  Bought 24 boxes using coupons that were expiring on 2/6.  Still waiting on my order, but picked up enough from a prior sale to last us quite a few weeks.

If any of you are still wandering around Walgreens desperately seeking Susan I mean PB and/or Garnier, head on over to the Wheaton Wags on Naper just north of Butterfield and the staff will take care of you.

Update here: First thing is that the Wheaton Wags on Naper just north of Butterfield (Danada Square) just got in 6 cases of Skippy – 3 creamy and 3 chunky.  If you’re not finding any at your stores, head on over.  If they run out, let me know and we can take care of that for you…(hint, hint, hint)

Here’s a quick look at the two transactions I did so far.  I’ll be hitting them hard on Wednesday for the Skippy, since their trucks come Tuesday.

First transaction was for 3 Nutrisse for $15, less 3 $2 qs and 2 pocket tissues fillers.  Paid with a $6 RR from Arnicare and a $3 RR from Natrol.  OOP was $1.67 and got back $5.  Second round was for 3 Herbashine for $15, less 3 $3 qs, 10 Skippy for $15 less 10 $1 qs and 1 pocket tissue filler.  Paid with a $10 RR from Neuragen.  OOP was 2.71 and got back two $5 RRs.

I’m going to keep adding to this post as more info comes out, but right now I see free Skippy peanut butter in all our futures.  How?  They are part of a Spend $15, get $5 RR.  So buy 10 (at 2/$3) and you’re at $15.  Use 10 of the $1/1 coupons on page 50 of that wonderful Dominicks “Joy of Football” booklet.  Pay $5 and get back $5 RR.  If you have the $3 RR from the Natrol melatonin deal this week, add a packet of tissue for a .20 filler and pay only $2 plus low tax.  I have already advised my Wags to stock up hard and heavy (Steve is going to check into the possibility of getting the Skippy Natural – woot).

Next deal that I think will fly out the door will be match-ups with Garnier Herbashine and Nutrisse.  It’ll be $5 each, so buy 3 boxes, use three of the $3/1 (Herbashine) from 1/02 S1 or $2/1 (Nutrisse) coupons from 2/06 rp ($3/1 Herbashine also on coupons.com on the right sidebar).  Spend $6 or or $9 and get back $5 RR.  Use the $6 Arnicare RR (and $3 Natrol) and .20 tissue fillers and roll those cats down the river!

How can you tell when a Walgreens “gets” coupons?  When the manager has the coupons clipped and placed right on the product for people to see and use.  None of that “If you use a coupon you won’t get the Register Reward crap.  This Wags is my new best friend and Steve, you rock (which doesn’t mean that all the rest don’t also rock, just that i am limited in the amount of space i can devote to the mutual admiration society).

Stopped in to pick up my Splenda (with fiber!!) that was special ordered to take advantage of not only the $2.99 sale, but the $2 ip and the BOGO (1/9 s2).  All told I got 22, broken down into two transactions:  12 Splenda,  1 Arnicare gel, 1 pocket tissue (filler).   Used a $10 RR from the appetizer spray and ended up forking over .88.  Second transaction was for 10 Splenda, 20 Dove mini-boxes $1/2 (1/30 rp1) and one Natrol melatonin.  In this case, I was forced to add something large enough to enable me to burn another of the $10 appetizer spray RRs.  Had to come up with big bucks here:  $3.45.

OOP was $4.33 and I earned $15 in RRs.

Other than children and husbands, I mean…of course, there is very little difference between them as far as I can see…but i digress…

Read on Hip2Save that the Neuragen Pain Relief Topical Gel was ringing up at $14.99 at Wags, although the shelf tag reads $29.99.  Use either the $10 coupon from the 12/5 rp (exp. 1/31/11) or the Diabetes and You winter magazine (exp. 3/31/11).  Note that the magazine coupon is located near the back of the actual magazine, not the smaller insert.  This came out a couple of months ago, but you can still find it on the racks by the Pharmacy, since the newest magazine is not yet out.

I ran 16 transactions, using the $3 rr from this morning’s Natrol deal and a .20 packet of tissue as filler.  Luckily, the tissue is something we can and do use – gods preserve me from another cowtail.

So each transaction came to $2.47 and I received a $10 rr.  Let’s do the math:  $160 in rrs less the $39.52 total OOP leaves us with only a $120.48 profit.  But that’s not quite right, since the OOP was reduced by the $3 Natrol rr for which I paid $1.05, so our figures would be:  $2.47 to which we add the $1.05, so $3.52 x 16 = $56.32, get back $160 rr or $103.60 profit.  woot!!!

Note: Each transaction also produced a $5 coupon and a $3 coupon for Zostrix Diabetic Foot Pain Relief Cream. They don’t expire until April 24, so if there’s a deal coming up….double woot!!

Decided to run through all my Natrol melatonin coupons at one time, so here goes:  21 Natrol; 2 Splenda (rain check from last week); 12 Butterfinger Snackerz; 5(?) Mentos and 4 Arnicare.  Total OOP was $31.94 and got back $87 in RRs.

One additional transaction (partially shown) was the Russell Stover Private Reserve chocolates (no other flavor or type), either in the red wrapper or the plain white box.  Saw on CW that these were an unadvertised clearance price of $2.24, so using the $1/1 coupon from 12/12 s, you’re down to $1.24 (a sweet deal).  When I say these are not marked, NO ONE in the store knows about this.  It’s not marked, they’ve never seen it on the clearance sheets, nuttin!  And the shelf tag reads $8.99.  So if you want to get some Valentine’s Day chocolate on the cheap, hit your local Wags.  Don’t bother with the two in Lisle or the new Wags on Naper….just sayin’

Starting out with the Boiron Arnicare spend $5.99 get $6 RR.   Download this coupon Arnicare and make yourself a couple of bucks.  Adjust your printer to print four coupons on a page to save paper, but hey, it’s up to you.

This is the last week you can use those wonderful Sinex coupons, as they expire on Monday the 31st, but hopefully you’ll be able to find them in stock this sale go-round.
