8/09 Amazon Fresh – 20% off Prime q

Here’s the Amazon Fresh ad for 8/09.  20% coupon for Prime members – 10% off for non-Prime folks; each requires a $50 purchase before the coupon kicks in.  Not quite sure they’re gonna find a ton of people to buy zucchini in Chicago in August – that’s the vegetable folks leave anonymously in boxes at front doors.

Flavor Adventure, see ya next year

What I’ll do differently next year?  Run the game first thing in the morning.  Stop after 5 or 6 plays, log out and in to avoid getting kicked off and losing something good. Zip to pick a $$ deal after completing all lands – coupons go fast and if you stop to think (or take a screenshot), you’ll lose out on a big chunk of cash.

Pick luckier tokens, ’cause Cheese and Sushi seemed incapable of winning mini-games 🙂

more Jewel clearance & a garage sale!

Out and about when we decided to check the Downers Grove Jewel for more clearance coffee.  Worked out the ratio: 25% flavored mixed into dark roast plus an extra scoop for a great taste.  There was a Boars Head sampling and they had a huge assortment of food – that was lunch 🙂 Got 12 cans (2025 date) and four bottles of the Field & Farmer ranch dressing (11/23 date).  We’ve had this brand quite often and for something that’s normally $5, I’ll take it.  They had lots of those, but since it requires refrigeration, we’re limited.  OOP was $29.51.

On the way back we saw a Lisle garage sale, so naturally we had to stop.  Everything in the pictures came to $8.50.  While I still have lots of hair color I’ve been donating to the food pantry, Pita likes the super-light blonde shades and the CHI one is a new brand for us.  The green screen is 5×7 so between this and the ring light I might have a whole new side hustle 🙂 I’ve been looking at wireless chargers and the one patio cushion exploded its guts out, so a $2.50 new replacement fit nicely in the budget.  New cell case with slot for cards. I’m telling you, this was a garage sale filled with everything I could ever need.  Even tap and jazz shoes, although they were size 5, which is even too small for Pita!
