Lots of stores have BIC pens on sale this week, but I’m fond of overage, so I picked Jewel, with their 88¢ price stacked up against the $1 coupon in today’s 8/4 S. Remember, it’s their official coupon policy to apply the overage to other cart items, so make sure you have something else – I’ve been stocking up on those Lightlife burgers so a little something to bring down the clearance cost even further was welcome.
Walgreens has an in-ad coupon for Gain dish detergent for 89¢ – the $2/2 coupon in 7/14 rp works beautifully here, with no beeps. It helps that the bottle says detergent (in Spanish) on the front label. And I’ll admit that the lavender Gain is my favorite dish soap, given the fact that I hate cleaning. Again, you’ll have to throw something in the cart to eat up the slight overage on each bottle – I chose death by chocolate…
Curious how the $2/2 gain coupon scans without beeps wyb 2 $.89 Gash dish soap.. I’ve taken the $1/1 Lindsay olives coupon to Wags in the past to use when they were $.99 and received push back about using that because of the penny overage.. some would reduce it down, others wouldn’t. So these literally scan without any manual assistance or arguing with the cashier to accept it??
The shelf price is $1.79 and you’re applying the $1 mfr coupon against that, THEN you’re putting in the in-ad coupon to reduce the price to .79 – no beeps at two stores. One store I used the usual kiss-of-death older (and unknown to me) cashier!
