Here you see 16 half-pound packages of Sara Lee deli meat (mostly the fancy turkey ones), bag o’ red grapes, half-gallon Lucerne milk, OEP tortilla stuffer, pink sea salt grinder, Chi-Chi sauce, three clearance garlic/parsley blends and three packages of boneless, top loin pork chops in clearance section.
The Sara Lee was $3.99 per pound on the Just4U deal (ends today); split them into half-pound packages and used the $1 coupon from 10/02 rp. Milk was .97 on the J4U pricing (goes through next week, so don’t rush) and the sea salt, Chi-Chi’s and OEP were my FREE specials.
Ended up spending $22.41 and for the life of me don’t know how that figure was determined: $16+ is deli, a buck for milk, the pork chops were $7.50, the garlic mix was $3 and the grapes were 1.56. I guess the MUM curse isn’t too powerful after all…
btw…the garlic/parsley blend is from Morton & Bassett and sells on Amazon for $17/3 pk! The 400 ct Splenda pictured is $12.99 – Amazon has it for $8.44 – Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, 400-Count Packets. That’s a huge difference. If you’re shopping the Glen Ellyn store, they have a lot of the Riceland white rice 1-lb boxes on the clearance unit by drugs. I think they’re .60 so use the .50 coupon from 9/11 rp for some extremely cheap rice!

I was there this morning and the lady at the deli told me it was a mad house there on Sunday.
