Meijer & Walgreens (Poise coupons)

Only had twelve inserts – plan on getting more – so that’s why you only see the 12 cartons of Smart Balance milk. I ran these in sets of two because this $1 off Simply Pure milk cat kept spitting out. Dates are 4/26, so I’ll wait like a spider for a decent sale ’cause the stuff’s $3.29 otherwise.

On the way back, I stopped at the Walgreens on Boughton just west of Meijer, where I was able to grab eight of the $3.99 Poise products. Using the $3 mfr coupon from the 2/10 S insert and the $2 Poise products in the March IVC, I was able to use my Colgate $3 RRs to get the Poise and the Natrol for 41¢ (Poise is high tax).  They only had six Natrol, so I lumped the other Poise with the Nice popping corn, to eat up the overage.

Everyone at this Walgreens was very nice, too.  as nice as the popping corn!

Rolling those cats @ Wags

Needed to roll a bunch of $3 and $4 RRs and this week isn’t the best for that, so just picked up Natrol Melatonin and Colgate.  Since the Colgate also has a 50¢ coupon in 2/24 S, I used pocket tissues as fillers.  We have plenty of these already, but it’s better to get something you’ll actually use than buying a caramel, right?

Oral-B Professional Care $22.50 + 3000 points

Using a combination of sale price, promo code and a MIR, you can get this  for $22.50 and earn 3,000 loyalty points!  It’s currently on sale at Walgreens.com for $50 ($70 list).  Use promo code PRESIDENT15 at checkout and pay $42.50 then complete this $20 MIR.  Points equal $3, so I suppose you could say the price was actually $19.50.

This is the New Design model that replaces the old Professional Series 1000 we got for  $10.97 last November.

Wags for Campbell’s Go Soup

Wanted to run this deal earlier, but Jewel kinda sucked the life force out of the day.  Here’s the Campbell’s Go Soup deal at Walgreens:  Buy two for $4.  Use the $1 coupon from 1/13 S and pay $2 and low tax.  Out pops a $1.50 RR.  Rinse and repeat.  Remember, RRs do not roll, so you’ll have to use the green stuff.

I’ll work out some scenarios in another day or so to use RRs from last week’s sales.  I like free and cheap soup, but CVS and Wags always have very limited selections – I’m hoping for a Jewel or Dominick’s blowout.  Coupon doesn’t expire until April 9.

Roll your Sheets

If you’re looking for ways to roll the $4 Sheets Register Rewards, look no further than Fiber Choice, which started a national promotion today, giving $4 RRs for every product purchased – including the little tubes shown.  Other parts of the country have lower prices, which could make these money makers, but here in the Chicagoland area they’re $3.99, so only a roll.  If it’s not something you have any use for, consider donating them – it’s low tax and you’re still getting another shot at the Sheets!

update – Waggily we roll along + important info

There is a $1 coupon in the Sheets box (mint flavor), just enough to screw up the numbers once again!

Everything is working beautifully at Walgreens this week (knock on wood). Two things to be aware of: 1) the neck size trial boxes of Theracare are not part of the RR promotion so avoid them like the plague and 2) The Sheets energy strips are ringing at $3.19 and generating a $4 RR, which is great if you were looking at a higher OOP in the Theracare/ Sheets roll.

Walgreens freebies 2/3-9

Four FARR items starting tomorrow:

1.  Culturelle Digestive (30 ct), Culturelle For Kids probiotic (30 ct) or Culturelle Kids chewable probiotc (30 ct) – $10 get $10 RR.  There is a $1 off any Culturelle product in the Answers at Walgreens Digestive Health booklet.  I don’t have any of these booklets, which might be best, since I won’t have to search for little fillers.

2.  Azo Cranberry (100 ct) softgel – $9.99 get $10 RR.

3.  Sheets Energy strips (8 ct) mint – $3.99 get $4 RR

4.  Thermacare Heat Wrap Back L/XL – $2.99 get $3 RR.  I believe these are the single packs and the coupon is only good on 2+ packs.

This is pretty easy to see how it will flip, assuming there’s inventory!  Buying nos. 1 + 3 to use on nos.2 + 4 (plus $1 item), you can breeze through the transactions.

Looking for a filler for transactions 2+4?  Toss in a Butterball turkey bacon, on sale for $1.29.  Use the 55¢ coupon from 1/6 S3 (Nestle cover).  Add a Nestle candy for 50¢ and you’ll hit the $1 mark, – buy four candies instead of turkey bacon and you’ll earn 1000 bonus points, but spend an extra buck.  I might do this a few times because I’m at 30,500 points and I want to cash out at 40,000 ($50).

While there are lots more FREE items, they all require MIRs, which rather limits you…

I’m only here for the tuna fish…

Since the 15% discount ended yesterday, decided to concentrate on the tuna fish. Each KY transaction included three cans and was paid for with a MG217 RR, the $2 K-Y coupon and 83¢. I then used that K-Y RR and a dime to pay for the MG217.  Rinse and repeat until you clear the suburbs of tuna fish.

new Kraft coupons (mac & cheese at Wags!)

The Kraft shredded and chunk is part of the Buy 10 promo at Food4Less, so another item to toss into the mix.  Walgreens has the Kraft macaroni & cheese boxes on sale for 89¢ each through the end of the day – 56¢ boxes of Kraft!

$1.00 off THREE KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Blue Boxes
$1.00 off TWO (2) KRAFT Dressing 16 oz
$1.00 off ONE (1) KRAFT MAYO or MIRACLE WHIP 30 oz
$1.00 off TWO (2) KRAFT Natural Shredded Cheese

A-Waggin’ we will go

The main problem with Walgreens lately is an inability to plan deals with any accuracy, because most of the time a store has limited inventory. So if you’re planning a roll one RR into another – good luck. This is why it’s so important to be able to run deals on the fly.

I used that 15% discount today to gain some serious overage, resulting in our stockpiling more tuna fish and sardines (Happy Valentine’s Day, DH!). The K-Y is the little 1.5 oz bottles – if the big boxes are what they’re pushing for Date Night, these must be for the quickie in the alley.  Unfortunately, they’re also high tax, so something to consider when you crunch your numbers.

I also picked up a L’Oreal Preference on clearance for $4.79.  After that 15% I was at $4.07 and I just happened (really!) to have a Wags coupon for $4!  I did that one just for funsies.
