Sunday freebies

B o r i n g!  First up is the Free Emergen-C Kidz Drink Mix Sample.  You have to sign up for their newsletter.

Free Arrid deodorant at Wags this week when you print out this $1 coupon from the main Arrid page.  Note that you must agree to receive news and information from the manufacturer.  Wags has this deodorant on sale for .99 all week.  If this is all you’re buying, the cashier will have to mark down the coupon to .99, otherwise the penny overage can go towards something else.

Coupon giveaway winners!

I was able to post the following last night under comments – but so far, knock on pixels, the server is stable…

My site has been down most of the evening – up and then completely crashed. IF THIS GETS THROUGH, please know that I HAVE picked the winners: jana; shirley; Presto; Nat; Becky; Steph; Heather; tch02.

Shirley and Presto sent me their info – please, use the contact tab on the top and get those addys out to me…If you’re looking for CoverGirl without a Walmart involvement (just for the rebates), Wags will have it on sale starting Sunday for B1G 50% the second, so some of the blushers will be slight MM after the $8/2 coupon.  I prefer money makers myself, but the Walmarts have been cleaned out of the cheaper items – but i can wait!!!

and still more coupons to print!?

Either new or I just missed them earlier:

$1.00 off 1 pkg of PHILADELPHIA Cooking Creme

$1.00 off Gold Peak 18.5 oz bottle any flavor.  I adore this tea and its fresh taste – got hooked when I bought those couple of hundred bottles…This is a great coupon because it’s for the individual bottle, not the large, refrigerated ones.

If you change the zip code to 12345, the Philadelphia cooking creme will be the first item;  next to it will be a .60/1 Ricola Throat Lozenges mixed berry flavor.  Ricola goes on sale all winter at most every store around.  Stack with the BOGO from 10/2 S.

Wags updates…

The tan hands of our Senior BA, Terry!

First up is the confusion over the RR deal that was supposed to start today, the 7th:  It works fine, but you have get the right product, folks!  The blue packages do not generate an RR, only the purple Ultra ones.  Here’s the deal:  Buy two packages of Ultra Cottonelle for $10.  Use two .50 mfr coupons from 10/2 S stacked with the $1 coupon in the October IVC so now we’re down to $7 OOP but you get back a $3 RR, so $4 for 24 rolls of toilet paper.  btw, other areas got much better coupons…

Check your local Wags for clearance items; Wheaton had a bunch of the Glade candles for

One lady just filled up her cart!

.84 (they also had diffusers).  Use the $1.25/2 coupon from 9/25 S to score some very cheap candles.  They also had an entire end cap full of 75 load Sun laundry soap for $1.24 (down from $4.99) – all scents.

You see here about 20 boxes of the Ben Gay patches…total OOP was $1.80.  damned tax!

more! candy coupons to print!

These are some high value coupons here, folks – I recommend printing NOW and then waiting until the stuff becomes a MM after Halloween…that’s just how I roll.

$1.40 off 1 bag of NESTLE or WONKA candy

$1.00 off any two Fun Size bags of WONKA candy

$1.00 off 2 Fun Size bags of NESTLE candy

There’s also a $1.00 off 1 GARNIER FRUCTIS SHAMPOO which you can print and use (if nothing better shows up) at Walgreens where they’re running a buy $15 worth of products and get back $5 RR.  This runs through October 22nd.  Hey, if you likes something, ya often gots to pay for it!

Another Wags drifts over to the Dark Side (yay!)

Whether you are aware of this or not, Walgreens has a policy of shifting management from one store to another – great when you have a crank, but not so good when you’ve got an über-couponer working with you.  Having said that, maybe we can use this to our advantage…

The Wheaton store recently “lost” two asst mgrs (including their ExA, RIch), but I’m certain that the policies Steve has in place will continue with the two new members:  Michelle and Mark.  I’ve spoken briefly to Michelle on the phone and she was very upfront and knowledgeable about coupons.

Many of you may know Jackie from the Lisle store.  She recently made a voluntary transfer to a Bolingbrook store, where her only requirement during the interview was that she could really push coupons and all that that entails.  Here’s the email I just got from her:

Hi Chris,

Now that I am settled in at my new store could you add me to your list of coupon-friendly Walgreens in the area? We would really love the business and this is really a friendly store to shop at. The employees are great….. I have not encountered any you know whos there yet, haha. After my recent experience with disgraceful customer service at Target, I further understand the importance of shopping where you are welcome. Target flat out told me to go to Walmart. Ugh gross.

Here is our info-
Walgreens #9919
695 W Boughton Rd
Bolingbrook IL 60440
Ph: 630-771-1494

This is at the corner of Boughton and Whitewater right across the street from the Johanssen farms pumpkin patch. If people want to call to order anything, they can ask for me, and if I am not there, the manager on duty.

Thanks Chris!

Jackie

I’ve shopped this newer store…actually, it was this Wags where I found the last eight travel Degrees in Chicagoland during that MM.  One of the slowest stores in the district, let’s help them achieve some of those bragging-rights numbers, okay?

and yet more coupons to print

Next week Walgreens will have the Thera-flu on sale for 2/$10 with a $5 RR.  Print out the $3.00 off Two (2) Triaminic OR Theraflu Products here and stack it with the $1 coupon in the October IVC:  Pay $5, get $5 RR.  While I like MMs more than anyone, this is something that we go through a lot, so free works for me.

Remember, if you don’t print now when I tell you, you can’t bitch when the print limit is reached.  Well, you can, but the Goddess will ignore you…

Free stuff at Walgreens this week!

See?  Like I said, stuff just appears.  Case in point is the Ben Gay Ultra Strength Pain

these cost me .17 in high tax - curse you, rat bastard Q

Relieving Patches, both regular and large size, on sale for $4.99.  The $5 coupon from the 9/11 SS works beautifully.  I saw the ad and wondered, but wasn’t able to hit Wags until just a short time ago.

Anyone wanting these should know that if this is all you are buying, the cashier must reduce the coupon by one penny per item (it’s in the Wags coupon policy).  Since there is no register reward attached, you can run all items in one transaction.  easy-peasy!  If you want any special orders from Wheaton or Lisle, make sure you call Wheaton before Tuesday 11 am (Lisle’s order time as passed, but they piggy-back onto Wheaton’s order).

Walgreens – unannounced RR promotion with Post cereal – update

The weird thing about this promotion is that mixing the sale Post cereals won’t trigger the RR – it’s only when you buy, say, four of the Fruity Pebbles, etc., not two of HBOA and Fruity Pebbles.  And, just so you know, Walgreens no longer carries the individual cup sizes of Post cereal (remember that lovely MM? – pssst, wanna buy some Fruity Pebbles in cups – cheap!).

There is an surprise Post cereal promotion going on right now at Wags in addition to the 2/$4 sale:  Buy 4 cereal, get a $3 RR, buy 6 cereal, get a $4 RR.  Any less than four doesn’t trigger and $4 is the maximum you can get on one transaction.  Unfortunately, there are no insert or tearpad coupons out there, although HCW reports a $1.25/1 coupon inside some boxes.

So without coupons, you buy six boxes for $12 and get back $4 – your cost is $1.34 per box.

but sucky week for Wags…

There is really nothing at Wags this week to crow about.  If you want to roll some cats, pick up the Boiron Coldcalm homeopathic remedy:  $6.99 and get a $6.99 RR or the Cepacol throat lozenges for $2.99 with a $2.99 RR.  Here is a Boiron Coldcalm $1 coupon that says for any of the children’s product – don’t know if it will scan for the adult version (probably), or more importantly, if your Wags will allow it.  Use the Halloween pencils (6/$1) as cheap fillers.

Don’t forget, the best and brightest of the money makers appear unexpectedly, so we wait patiently, like the spider.

give me deals!

True story:  When I was a young child I came down with strep throat.  In addition to medicine, the Doctor told my parents to have me gargle with Cepacol mouthwash.  When we made our follow-up visit, I told him I’d rather have strep throat – yes, it’s that nasty tasting.  Germ aren’t killed – they commit suicide.
