need rice? Aroma rice cooker on sale @ Target.com

We have a rice cooker (another brand – very expensive!) and frankly, I’m amazed we went for so long without one!  Started with stovetop and moved to microwave – both have serious drawbacks.  This Aroma 20-Cup Digital Rice Cooker in stainless steel features a non-stick coating, a digital control for white or brown rice, steam cook 15-hour delay and chime to indicate when cooking is done. It includes a steam tray, measuring cup and rice paddle for cooking convenience. The removable water reservoir is dishwasher safe.  Buy it online and pick up at your local store.  easy-peasy

Target – Pedigree dog food is cheap!

photo.JPGPITA and I stopped at Target for more Tena pads and to check out a few possibles for upcoming promotions. If you’re running low or need to stock up on the cheap, grab two 50 pound bags of Pedigree dry dog food for $22.79 each.  Use the $3 coupons from 8/3 R`, pay $39.58 plus tax and get a $20 Target gift card.  You are effectively paying less than 20¢ per pound!  Use REDcard and you’ll save an additional 5%!  winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Out & about shopping – must read post!

Now that I have your attention…There are some awesome deals out there and between Dollar Tree and Target I’m too pooped to pop – does that phrase even make sense?

photo.JPGDollar Tree has PediaCare Daytime Multi-Symptom Cold in stock – use the $1 coupon from 9/7 S2 for FREE meds! They also have a nice assortment of Physicians Formula cosmetics. There’s no coupon but this line is consistently rated high and very pricey. A buck is almost a steal.  Remember, Dollar Tree limits you to four like coupons per transaction (most are for that trip, too).  And it’s not possible to push through a coupon – the register won’t take the 5th one!  Sunday’s rp2 insert also had three $1 coupons for Maybelline lip, mascara and nail products, the exact same ones that Dollar Tree is carrying.  Unfortunately, the coupons all beep, meaning no way, Jose.  If a coupon beeps they are not allowed to accept it, no matter what the picture and/or wording shows or the manager wants to do; don’t push it.

photo.JPGTarget.com has Mucinex 30 ct packs for $9.99 – price match that in the store and use the $7 coupons from 9/7 S2, stacked with the $2 Target coupon and the 25% off Cartwheel. My grand total for all four boxes was only 49¢…wonder what it would have been with my REDcard?

more Target shopping = fun

photo.JPGPITA wanted these crazy hair colors ($6.99!) so I cracked open the wallet and spent cash. Three transactions of the Fructis B3G1 styling product. There is a $1 Target mobile coupon when you Text SAVINGS1 to 827438. Note that the hair colors use a different $2 coupon from the same 9/7 insert.

Target had restocked the TENA pads so I grabbed four.  Cashier was stumped over how to do the coupon so I took pity on her and told her to manually enter $3.49 because the coupon’s wording is “Up to $5.”  Yes, I like overage, but free with no hassle works, too.

Target for clearance hair color + more cheap hair care

photo.JPG This week’s good deal at Target is Buy 3 Fructis shampoo, conditioner, treatment or styling products and get a FREE Finishing Paste. This isn’t a new deal – it’s been running since 7/13 – but we got some nice $2 coupons in the 9/7 rp (mac & cheese on the front in Chicago). Use four coupons and you’ll pay under $2 including high tax.

The Clairol Herbal essence hair color has been clearanced at all Targets for the past few weeks. These were tagged $5.08 but scanned at $2.98. Use the $2 coupons from either the 8/10 S or 8/24 S for a great deal on color.

Target clearance nail polish shopping

photo.JPGGrab as many of these Wet N Wild clearance nail polishes as you can while you’re running your last-minute Target shopping today – they are priced 84¢ and $1.18. Use the $1 coupon from 8/24 S, which expires today!  And yes, this is an insanely short period for a cosmetic item.

Update: Target bargains today

Some areas are scheduled to get a $5/1 Tena coupon in the 9/7 Smart Source. If it hits your area, grab your Sunday papers on Saturday at the dollar stores (or Menards) and go directly to Target – and hope I don’t get there first…

I bought 20 packs with store pick-up and earned $50 in gift cards! By paying with my REDcard, I pretty much eliminated tax and spent, after gift cards, about $8! SWEET!!!  Click the link and you can save, too!

Since I was at Target anyway, I picked up eight of the TENA pads since even these $3.49 packs were generating a $5 gift card when you bought two!  The ones in the $4+ are also tagged for the $5 gift card – NO COUPONS.  Threw in the undershirts for an undeserving FirstBorn because his are so nasty, rag pickers would throw them back.

Mamba fruit chews are ringing up at $1 in The Dollar Spot, but with a 20% Cartwheel, they’re only 80¢ – – these are expensive at other places (even Amazon) because they are completely vegan (usually fruit chews contain animal gelatin).

Target…pickens getting slimmer

Clairol Herbal essences hair color clearance for $2.98 – use the $2 coupon from 8/10 S for an eveh better price. The Secret body spray was also on clearance for $2.78 – buy 3, use the $1 coupon from the September P&G insert and get a $5 gift card.  Pantene conditioning treatment was $3.99. Buy 3, use the $2 coupons from the September P&G insert and get a $5 gift card. The hair spray was $4.99 (most tagged products are over $3.99), so $1.32 after coupons and gift card.

I have NOT been able to find any of the $4.26 Swiffer refills since Labor Day…will go out again tomorrow to another Target and maybe have better luck.

The Old Spice body wash with bonus body sprays are on clearance but do not trigger the gift card so avoid them like full price!

UPDATE: Target trippin’ – Monday edition

New printables have appeared which make the toilet paper deal less wasteful! Use this $1 off Quilted Northern coupon to save more plus a 75¢ coupon when you do the Like thing on FB. Here’s a Brawny 55¢ coupon, if you’re trying for more/different coupons (limit 4 like at Target).photo.JPGRan this last night broken down into two transactions – could have been broken down into smaller ones rolling the gift cards, but I didn’t want to spend my life at Target (although it seems that way lately, right?)!

First transaction was for 2 Swiffer refills, 4 Playtex tampons, 1 Charmin, 6 Old Spice body wash, 2 Zevia (had $2 printables), 3 Angel Soft and 3 Quilted Northern toilet papers.  After REDcard and bag credit, total was $102.32; paid with $20 in gift cards from Sunday’s shopping, leaving me at $82.32.  Received $40 in Target gift cards.

Second transaction was for 3 Old Spice body washes and 4 Playtex tampons:  Total was $27.26, paid using gift cards from first transaction.  Received $15 in gift cards.

I successfully submitted a screen shot of the Angel Soft/Quilted Northern receipt to smartmusthaves.com for a $10 prepaid MasterCard, which will be sent out within the next three days.  Subtract the $10 in gift cards from the $36.24 paid for the tissue (after six 45¢ coupons) and the $10 MasterCard card coming in the mail, and I’ve spent $16.24 plus tax for an awful lot of toilet paper!

Sunday out & about shopping

photo.JPG
If you’re looking for a good place to use those $4/2 Starbucks printables, head over to Jewel, where the iced coffee bottles are $1.50 each – and Jewel gives you overage without sneaking!

photo.JPGTarget continues with their gift card bonanza, this week with a sweet deal on Old Spice body wash: Buy 3 and get a $5 gift card. They have shelves just crammed with the bonus boxes, where you pay only $3.95 and get two bottles! That’s a few pennies cheaper than the single bottles! Buy three of the doubles, use either this $1 printable or the $1/2 coupon in the September P&G.  With the printables + gift card, you’ll be paying about 65¢ per bottle, slightly more with the insert coupon.

There’s an even better deal for a whole list of products where you buy three and earn a $10 gift card! Pick up the $4.26 Swiffer refills, pay with this $1 Swiffer printable plus these two Target mobile coupons (Text LUNCH to 827438) and (text THANKS to 827438).  Even with NO coupons, you’ll be paying $2.78 for all three after gift card.  I bought one set of three Swiffer, but there were only two remaining on the shelf – luckily? we needed toilet paper and Charmin 30 ct double rolls are not only on sale for $16.99, but part of that same $10 gift card promotion. Completely out of the 30cts, but they substituted the Mega + Double Plus and pushed through the gift card. There are .25 coupons in the September P&G, plus a .50 Target one expiring today. Since I hadn’t planned on picking up the toilet paper, I didn’t have any coupons. Yes, I can always return with the mfr coupon within a few days, but I’ll be SOL for the store coupon, since they won’t take expireds.
