Announcing a Dannon giveaway!

How would you like six coupons for a FREE Activia Breakfast Blend 4-pack (up to $4.25).  This is Dannon’s new product and is a verrrry tasty one, indeed!  What’s really nice is that they’re packaged in 6 oz containers, not the tiny 4 oz ones.

Since I’ll be on the road soon, I thought I’d start the giveaway now and give you the extra time to comment.   All comments must be posted by Tuesday, August 7th at 10 pm.  Winners will have until Thursday 5 pm to respond to my email or another name will be selected.  Why the rush?  These coupons all have September 1, 2012 expiration dates, which means use them or lose them.  Those of you with Ultra Foods can use coupons up to 30 days expired.

New product seen at BlogHer ’12

One of the items I was completely blown away by was just released:  halo (and not the violent video game, either!).  It’s a product you spray into your mouth that kills those nasty germs and coats the throat.  The active ingredient, Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPC) has been around for years and is a safe antiseptic found in mouthwash (like Listerine and Crest).  I have full-size packages which I will be offering when I return, but really wanted to let you guys know about it.  Funny, but so many things are supposedly the latest and greatest, but are actually just the same stuff in a different box – this product totally impressed me.  And they make a spray for children ages 2 and up!  I immediately started thinking about all the colds and earaches PITA and FirstBorn got when they hit daycare and the school system.  Wouldn’t it be cool to hit ’em twice with berry or another flavor on the way out the door and not have to worry that they are gonna come back to infect you?

$100 giveaway winner update

Hi!  Here’s a quick update on the $100 giveaway for charity.   Wags had some good clearanced items:  pack of underpads (good for puppies/kittens at the shelter, paperclips and 6 post its, baby desitin and 3 more Ivory soap. Target had Playdoh transformers at  $3.98, trial size soaps, shampoos, toothbrush kits at $.88, 6 dog food and 10 cat food under $2.50 with coupons, 2 little notepads $.10, 4 Revlon nail clippers/files used with $3/2 coupons, 2 free floss at Walmart and Sassy toy clearanced at $3 at Babies r us. I still have $16.45 left and will probably use on Target clearanced toys this week or next if it goes to 70% off.  If any one wants to join me in adding to the donation from your own stock piles  please let me know.  I can pick up if close by me.

$100 giveaway winner’s 1st post

Suzanne, our $100 winner from the last giveaway explains what she’s bought so far:  I’ve got 6 bottles of Tide, 6 boxes of Hefty bags,2 boxes of alcohol wipes, 6 ivory soaps, 2 books, 2 Sing a ma jigs and 1 Cars puzzle with car. Adding in from my own stash of 6 razors.  So far spent only $37.14, planning to hit my Target for some more clearance toys this week they should be at 75% off soon. I post more soon!

Thanks for the update – don’t forget to include the high tax you paid for the free razors into the total.  I don’t know about you, but this is super exciting for me to see how far Uncle Ben can stretch.

Yes, it’s that time once again:  FREE MONEY TIME!  I have come into possession of a number of the Corona $10 rebate for meat and/or poultry purchase forms – the same promo they had last year with no beer requirement! That’s why we call it free $$$ time!
