Went closer into the city today – not to check CVS stores! – and stopped for some land without shelf tags shopping. Yes, surprisingly enough, most of the items did not have the clearance tags – – good thing I remember the numbers and names by now! Remember, when in doubt, the scanner is your new best friend. Tons of Nexxus clearance items at 75% off, although not many were tagged. Buy and use them towards the Spend $20 get $10 ecb promo currently running. Most Nexxus items hovered around the $3 mark – pretty decent for almost $14 original-priced items. Obviously you can all look up the coupons on the data base; these are the same Clairol and L’Oreal coupons I’ve been using all week. There are no Nexxus coupons. Enjoy!

PITA shocked – I’m living at CVS today!
Update: 55 boxes of hair color – 39 L’Oreal sulfate-free products.
PITA texts me from school asking about a video on my computer. Don’t know, I text back, I’m shopping at CVS. WHAT!!! You haven’t been to CVS in months! I said, almost-free hair color and products…she got it.
Vidal Sassoon, Clairol Age Defy, Clairol Natural Instincts and Clairol Shine shades are being clearanced out at CVS – 75% off! Even if the tag reads 25% off, that just means they were too lazy to replace the tags – scan and you’ll see the huge drop. Also 75% off on many of the sulfate-free L’Oreal products and when you buy two of them you earn a $4 ecb! Coupons for ALL products in 2/1 S and rp and the February P&G. I also got the money-maker Colgate Total toothpaste using the $2.50 Magic Coupon Machine coupon and the $1 mfr coupon from the single page insert on the 2/1 paper.
My total OOP was $35.26 plus high tax. I have no idea of the number of hair colors…will probably count and update this post later just for grins. Whether or not I’m being seduced by advertising or not, I like the sulfate-free products.

free Biore cleanser @ CVS
1.0 oz tubes of Bioré cleanser at CVS are priced at $1.99. Use the $2 no size restriction coupon from 8/10 S for FREE facial cleanser! Since the coupon is 1¢ over the product price, you may have to toss in a pack of gum for the overage. No rush, because this is the normal shelf price and the coupon doesn’t expire until 10/4/2014.
The cleansers are not found in the travel section, but with the other Biore products.
CVS between rain drops shopping
Haven’t spent much time at CVS lately; even with good deals they have limited inventory. You end up getting a raincheck and waiting…and waiting…and waiting. No fun to watch that coupon’s expiration date creep closer and closer!
The Be Crest is part of the Crest Pay $2.99 and get $2 in ecbs promotion, even though it’s not shown in the ad. Use the $1 coupon from the 5/11 P&G insert (or $1 printable here) and it’s free. Limit two per card. The Right Guard is 2/$6, get back $2 in ecbs on two; use the $2 coupons from 6/15 rp and they’re both free. Limit one per card.
Was able to grab two of the $2 Gelusil with a raincheck from a few weeks ago – still have more on the raincheck, so they rewrote it. The Ban cooling cloths are still either OOS or coming in and going out immediately (since we all have rainchecks, right?)
CVS for more very cheap eye shadow
$10 in ecbs expiring today and good luck finding something to buy from the sales ad! Ended up grabbing two more Deans’ milks, a Colgate, couple of Cadbury bars and 8 Almay eye shadows on B1G1 50% off sale this week. First shadow was $5.49, the second $2.74. Used the $4 6/1 S coupons and paid $8.23 for both, less the two $4 coupons. Not free, but if Walgreens really does have their registers set to not give overage, we’ll be using these high-value coupons more and more at CVS.
If you haven’t tried these eye shadows yet, you’ll be surprised at how nice they go on and how much lighter they are than they appear in the pot.
Cheap M&Ms with new BOGO coupons
Walgreens has M&Ms for 59¢ this week with the in-ad coupon – use this B1G1 M&M printable and pay only 30¢ each! Note that the second item is the M&M pretzel variety. PITA loves these, but I can’t stand them. Good thing we don’t have to choose!
If you’re going the CVS route, they have assorted bars and bags for 88¢, so you’re down to 44¢. If you’re trying for the Spend $30 get a $10 gas card, print out these $1 Nestle pouch printables since the Nestle pouches are 2/$6. Or this .75/2 Snickers PB Squared printable. That’s a lot of candy this week…good thing we’re getting the free toothpaste.
Check around coupons.com for any other candy offerings – they sneak new coupons in the database all the time.
Ultra & CVS
I was actually in the neighborhood of an Ultra so stopped in for the Palmolive deal: $1.48 for the 28 oz size. Used the 50¢ coupon from 5/18 S and paid 98¢ a bottle. Someone had stocked the first aisle (sale items) with the 25 oz size, which rang up at $2.79!! Sure, I wanna pay $1.31 more for less product!
Hit two CVS locations without any success whatsoever – at one store someone had stocked the 100 count Gelusil in the 20 count sale spot. Wonder if anyone paid too much for the wrong product? Finally found a store with one Ban and one Gelusil so grabbed them both and a Colgate toothpaste. The Magic Coupon Machine is spitting out $2 Colgate coupons so stack it with the $1 mfr coupon from 6/1 S for FREE toothpaste. The Gelusil is on sale for $2, which plays nicely with the $2 coupon from the 6/1 rp and the Ban cooling wipes (about $3.50 each less the $2 coupons from 6/1 S less the $4 in ecbs). The Ban deal requires the purchase of two items for the $4 ecbs, but since the store only had the one, it will sit on my card until I purchase the second, third, fourth and so on. Have a whole pile of these Ban wipes from prior Walgreens sales – finally had blistering hot weather on Sunday…and I forgot all about them!
Scoring free Neutrogena @ CVS
The Buy 3 Neutrogena products and get a $10 ecb and a tote bag is working on the bar soap! I started with a $10 ecbs in hand, so I paid out less than a buck for each set of three. What’s the transaction limit? Shelf, I’d say…
Been out at the flea market all day. and the world continued to spin without me
Free Revlon @ Walgreens (or MM @ CVS?)
This week Walgreens has Revlon cosmetics at B1G1 50% – deal includes eye shadows – use this new $2 Revlon Eye Product coupon together with the $1 May IVC and get some free shadow! I didn’t need any eye shadow, so tried this deal with the clearance lip stains/balms and eye liners – it worked! I took the four products shown and paid $3.40 OOP, of which $1.04 was high tax. Note that next week’s B1G1 50% off does not include eye products, so that’s something to consider, but you could always take your coupons to CVS…
where the week of 5/4 they’ll have a Spend $10 get $3 in ecbs on Revlon (excludes lashes & clearance). Grab a few of the cheaper shadows, use the $2 Revlon Eye Product coupon on each of them for some very cheap eye shadow – or, if you got the $5/2 Revlon offer from the Magic Coupon Machine this week, a possible money maker!
coupons to print for Free or MM Zantac @ Walgreens & CVS
The Walgreens and CVS ad scans for the week of May 4th show Zantac with a FREE after MIR with the form available at Zantacoffer.com. It’s not showing as of this morning – they’d better move on it. This MIR is only valid for purchases made during the week of 5/4-10.
My first choice would be Walgreens, where they also have an $3 IVC you can stack with this $6 printable. Pay $9.99 ($18.99 less the two coupons) and submit for a full rebate (since we don’t have the MIR form yet, can’t see wording about coupons). If coupons are excluded, you’ll still get it FREE!
CVS has Zantac for $17.99, but no other deal. Pay $11.99 after the $6 printable and submit the rebate form.
If you’re looking for Zantac insert coupons, you’ll find a $4 coupon in the 3/23 S – a $4 coupon is also supposed to be in our 5/04 S.
