Bored & playing with a buck @ CVS

ee513e07-2de0-4471-ae5d-e848a494ba2aObviously too much family time is detrimental to mental stability…decided to hit CVS for a quick run-through to see what I could grab with a buck (plus tax). Make sure you hit the Magic Coupon Machine for the Colgate and Xtra coupons:

Bought 1 Skittles (or Starburst) for $1.07 and got a $1 ecb

Bought 1 Orbit Bubblemint for $1.07 and paid 7¢ after using the first $1 ecb. Got $1 ecb and submitted receipt for 50¢ Ibotta refund.*

Bought 1 Starbucks Doubleshot Expresso for 53¢ after $1 ecb. Got $1.50 ecb

Bought 1 Extra 51 oz laundry detergent for $1.99 less $1.50 Magic Machine Coupon and 1 Colgate Optic White for $3 less the $2.50 Magic Machine Coupon and 50¢ from 11/22 S. My OOP was 36¢.  If you don’t have the Colgate coupon with you, you’ll still get the freebie deal; my $1 coupon was reduced to 49¢ because I was already at zero subtotal.  Total OOP with tax was $2.03 (most was high tax); $1.53 if you subtract the Ibotta refund.

*What’s Ibotta?  It’s an APP for smart phones that pays you cash for buying stuff you’re buying anyway!  Buy certain products from participating retailers, scan the product UPC and receipt and get cash in your Ibotta account  My confirmation email came within seconds!

MM or Free TRESemme @ Wags – extreme ymmv

8136f5dd-6789-496c-8877-1a195dae90a6This week Walgreens has TRESemme at 2 for $8 with a $2 RR – use the $2 coupon from 11/1 S and you’ll be OOP $2 after RR, but some shampoos and conditioners are ringing up at $2, so either $2 without coupons or a $2 MM with coupons!  Coupon reads limit two per transaction, so you can buy two, then rinse and repeat or just leave it at that.

Again, this is an extreme ymmv because I don’t know for certain which varieties are triggering the price – only that it’s limited to the 28 oz size – or how long it will last.  Or even if you can find any at your store.  I saw plenty of the 32 oz sizes, which have different UPCs, so maybe they’re trying to clear out the smaller size bottles and bump up the price in the future.  nah, that’d never happen!!!

I also read that people are finding this at CVS on clearance for even less, so check the Magic Coupon Machine there as well and let us know!

Free or almost Revlon nail polish at CVS

unnamedI received a $3 off select Revlon prodcuts coupon from the Magic Coupon Machine yesterday at CVS – not everyone is gettting them, but if you do, you can pair it with this Free Revlon Diamond Top Coat BOGO coupon, spend either $7.99 or, at my store, $8.49 for each bottle of nail polish (which generates $5 in ecbs, since you’ve spent $15 on Revlon products).   and that color was PITA’s pick…

my burning ecb shopping at CVS

unnamed (2)Hasn’t been a whole lot of thrill lately at CVS, which explains why I needed to use my $10 ecb…today! Came up with the pictured scenario;

1 Dean’s milk for $2.69
2 Scope 1L for $4.79 each
4 Colgate 500 ml for $2.99 each

Used four $2 Colagate coupons from 10/4 S, 1 Scope $1.75/2 printable and the $10 ecb. OOP was $4.48 plus lots of high tax. Got back a $1 ecb for the milk, a $4 ecb for Colgate and an $8 ecb for the Scope, or a total of $13.

Update: CVS for Pantene & Head & Shoulders

This is not a one-time deal after all! I ran it two times before Limit Reached!
Bought 12 more Pantene, used four $5/3, plus the two $10 ecbs (which also reduced my taxable amount) from my earlier transaction and got another $10 ecb and a $5 Beauty Club ecb which will appear on my account within the next couple of days.
unnamedI won’t say this is much of a H&S deal, but since everything else was out of stock, figured I’d toss in some into the mix to use up my $30 ecb from the Revlon eye shadow and hey, it’s not like I really paid for the Revlon anyway, right?

Bought 9 Pantene for $33, used three 3/$5 coupons from October P&G

Bought 4 Head & Shoulders for $20, used two $4/2 coupon from October P&G

Subtotal was zero and I got back $10 ecbs for the Pantene and another $10 for hitting the $50 Beauty Club threshold.

CVS for moneymaking eye shadows

unnamed (2)Today’s the last day to use the $3 Revlon eye product coupon (9/13S), and it’s even nicer to score some extra cash when you do!  These were part of the Buy $15 in Revlon and get $5 in ecbs, limit six per card.  The total you purchase will depend on your store’s price (I’ve seen them higher than the $3.29 I paid), or you might decide to grab whatever you can!  This bag of goodies earned me $30 in ecbs…now to scan the ad for some great deals!

Moneymaking Revlon @ CVS – start clipping now

UntitledThis is a heads-up on a one-day only moneymaker on Revlon cosmetics (specifically the single eye shadows).  Iheartcvs.com shows next week’s ad with a Spend $15 on Revlon cosmetics and get $5 in ecbs with a limit SIX!  Since the $3 Revlon cosmetics coupon (9/13 S) expires on Sunday, the 27th, you have that one day only to get paid to shop for stocking stuffers and goody bags!  Checking online and in stores shows that single eye shadows run roughly $3.19-$3.29 (live near trailer parks, obviously you pay less).  If you are unable to find the 30 limit in one store (I’d say that’s a given!), your card tracks the dollars spent and each time you hit the threshold, you’ll get your $5 ecb.  You can obviously also grab other items like mascara, foundation and liner, but you’ll be paying a trifle.  And all counts towards Beauty Club bonus ecbs!

Now let’s light a candle that we’ll have something to roll all those ecbs into over the course of the next month…

CVS store coupon tearpad/display

photo.JPG

Look for this cardboard display at your local CVS and earn some free popcorn!    Says Save $2 with the purchase of any Gold Emblem abound product.  Excludes sale items.  Other restrictions apply (the only other restrictions I see in the find print refer to gift cards, no size restrictions).  So get the smaller bags that sell for a buck for, what’s that word again?  Oh, yeah, FREE!

cheap L’Oreal Revitalist @ CVS!

20823270551_2997997b9fSpend $25 and get $5 in ecbs this week at CVS. The L’Oreal Revitalist is $5, so buy five of the cleansers or towelettes, use five of this $3 off any L’Oreal Paris Revitalift product coupon, spend $10 and get back $5 – a buck each!

Note that the coupon reads “No more than four (4) idential coupons can be used for the same product per household per day…”  So, since it’s CVS and your total is tracked you can either split up the transactions or buy two different products.

The so you need more shampoo/expiring ecbs Tour

unnamed (1)Decided to pick up some Suave Professionals shampoo since the deal is pretty good and I needed to burn some ecbs! These Suave Professionals are 2/$6 and there’s a $3/2 coupon on the cover of the 6/21 rp (Chicago area).  Buy two, pay $3 and get a $2 ecb.  Hey, that’s pretty cheap shampoo – only 50¢ a bottle!  The weekly ad says Limit 1… it lies.

Also, every card scanned this week at the Magic Coupon Machine gets a coupon for a FREE Meta Health Bar!
