CVS – Wisk
Hit CVS to test the Wisk promo. Picked up 12, mostly HE types, for a total of $35.88 after coupons. Used $22 in ecbs to get down to $14.88. Chose the CVS gift card for $20. Remember, you can get up to FIVE gift cards per week per card. The tax alone on this deal was almost $4.
So, without any ecbs, my OOP would have been $39.50 ($3.29 each), less the $20 gift card…$1.63 each.
home again, home again…and CVS 10/23
jiggity jig. Spent the day at my mom’s house; when we drove off the car was shaking weirdly. Immediately knew what it was – flat tire! Called Senor Clueless to say we’d be late because of the flat: It’s apparently because I don’t perform proper car maintenance. who knew that caused flat tires? I figured it was the giant sheet metal screw sticking out the tread, but then I’m just a mommy blogger…
but I digress…Looking over the CVS ad for the week of the 23rd, I can see a few good deals: The Bumble Bee chunk light tuna will be .77 with no limit. No coupon at present, but I’ll be buying a large stack with ecbs just ’cause I haven’t seen that many deals around on cans (I don’t like those little pouches).
I think the big deal will be the spend $12 get $4 ecb using various Glade and Oust products. I like the Glade Sense & Spray at $5 because there is a $4 coupon in the 9/25 S. The deal would work like this: Buy 3 for $15, use three coupons. Pay $3 and get back $4 in ecbs. Free Glade and a slight MM. Many of you prefer Glade to Air Wick, so this is your chance to stock up. Lmit of one per card. ahem…per card…
CoverGirl spend $10 on cosmetics get $3 ecbs is just handing over cash when you pick up the cheaper stuff and use that $8/2 from Oct. P&G. The Naper/Ogden store has already stocked up lots of this. Again, limit one per card. rinse and repeat…
Physician’s Formula cosmetics is another of their spend $10 get $7 ebc. Stuff is pricey, granted, but many of you love it, so stock up. Use the $1 coupon from 8/7 S to ease the pain.
L’Oreal has a spend $10 get $3 ecb on cosmetics. There is a $2 coupon in 9/18 rp for L’Oreal Paris, so a possible deal here.
The Nivea spend $10 get $5 ecbs would have rocked if it were a week earlier: The lip balms are a part of it, but the friggin coupon expires the 16th…
The rest of the ad doesn’t float my boat, but it’s still far enough out that MM coupons could magically appear between now and then, especially the IPs, which seem to show up and drop off rather quickly lately, wouldn’t you agree?
CVS today
No picture, but picked up the John Frieda foam using the FREE coupon from FB; coupon scans automatically at $13.99, so, since it’s on sale for $11.99 with a $3 ecb, you need something to use up that overage. I bought a gallon of milk and three candy bars, using the B2G1 sale combined with a B2G1 tearpad coupon and a FREE Trix bar coupon from that game I posted a few weeks ago.
News: The Naperville/Ogden CVS will be turning on their Sunday sales at 4 pm on Saturday, starting today. I’ll post later with deals for the week of the 23rd (no time to post now).
CVS gift cards for 10/16th promo
The list of cards for the Spend $30 get $10 gift card promotion is: Barnes and Noble, Gap, Shell, Macys, and Applebees, and, of course, CVS. This deal continues through to the next week’s sale (23rd) – apparently the gas card promotion was such a huge hit they’re expanding. I think it’s great, since you don’t have to worry about expiring ecbs (which, as you all know, pisses me off big-time). I’m really starting to like this new mindset CVS.
The picture? My rain check Dove products came in (spend $15 get back $5 ecbs) – they were all the 33% bonus size! double woot! better rush out and buy a lottery ticket!
CVS – week of the 16th
The best deals for CVS revolve around the “spend $30, get a $10 gift card” promotion. Especially since they let you get FIVE cards per each CVS card. My favorites right now are the liquid Wisk 32 load bottles for $4.99. Use the $2 coupon in this upcoming Sunday’s paper and you’re at $2.99, which is a pretty good price for Wisk, especially since it hasn’t been on sale lately and many people prefer this brand. psst. the new Consumer Reports issue rated the “Stain” Wisk No. 1.
Next possible deal is with the Pampers. The coupons aren’t the best out there, but if you’re a Pampers die-hard, buy two jumbo packs ($1.50 Oct. P&G) and use the Pringles ($1/4 Oct. P&G) or Kellogg’s Raisin Bran ($1/2 9/11 rp) as fillers. If you really, really, need Pampers, buy 10 bags ($89.90), use five $1.50 coupons ($7.50) and you’re at $82.40, less the $30 in gift cards (I’d choose cvs ones). You’re now talking about paying $5.24 for each package of Pampers. Like I said, if you really, really like them…
Play around with the various items – they have quite a few to choose from, so mix and match. Remember, if they are limiting you to five cards, the deal’ll stack. Makes it easier to use those 2/XX coupons.
CVS – Listerine
Well, got mine, hope you all got your Listerine. They were out of the 500ml bottles, but offered to substitute a 1L bottle for the two smaller ones – sure, why not?!
Next week is kinda slow at CVS, but the week after looks better. I’ll start matching deals with coupons for the week of the 16th, to give everybody time to clip, clip, clip (or order, order, order).
and still more coupons to print!?
Either new or I just missed them earlier:
$1.00 off 1 pkg of PHILADELPHIA Cooking Creme
$1.00 off Gold Peak 18.5 oz bottle any flavor. I adore this tea and its fresh taste – got hooked when I bought those couple of hundred bottles…This is a great coupon because it’s for the individual bottle, not the large, refrigerated ones.
If you change the zip code to 12345, the Philadelphia cooking creme will be the first item; next to it will be a .60/1 Ricola Throat Lozenges mixed berry flavor. Ricola goes on sale all winter at most every store around. Stack with the BOGO from 10/2 S.
more! candy coupons to print!
These are some high value coupons here, folks – I recommend printing NOW and then waiting until the stuff becomes a MM after Halloween…that’s just how I roll.
$1.40 off 1 bag of NESTLE or WONKA candy
$1.00 off any two Fun Size bags of WONKA candy
$1.00 off 2 Fun Size bags of NESTLE candy
There’s also a $1.00 off 1 GARNIER FRUCTIS SHAMPOO which you can print and use (if nothing better shows up) at Walgreens where they’re running a buy $15 worth of products and get back $5 RR. This runs through October 22nd. Hey, if you likes something, ya often gots to pay for it!
CVS – Air Wick from 9/10
Since the small size Air Wicks that were part of the Buy $20 get $10 ecb promotion the week of September 10th never came in, CVS substituted the larger size units for the same price! You are looking at 12 Air Wick priced at $4.99 each. That was enough to trigger the $20 threshold for printing a $10 ecb. I used the $4 coupons from one of the two 9/11 ss inserts. So $.99 x 4 = $3.96 plus high tax of $1.45 brings you to $5.41 and you get back a $10 ecb.
Husband comes out to garage to help carry in “stuff;” see three boxes and exclaims “More Air Wick!!!” Yeah, I guess I am kinda stocked up now…
I’ve feeling the love here, folks!
