Amazon Prime Day in September?

Amazon is rescheduling Prime Day for September, reports The Wall Street Journal, citing anonymous sources. The online giant’s highly anticipated, two-day discounted shopping event, usually held in July, was delayed this year due to the pandemic. Amazon halted shipment of non-essential goods during the coronavirus crisis but is now moving back to more regular day-to-day operations. And while demand rose for the e-tailer during the crisis, additional expenses in shipping “crimped profits,” while competitor Walmart, which offers curbside pickup, experienced a surge in online orders.
