Don’t you get tired of all those pundits who claim coupons only buy junk food? Notwithstanding the fact that I happen to like junk food…did a run at Whole Foods with Rachel (MUM), who’s now forced to shop wheat-free, dairy-free, taste-free – well, maybe not the last one.
You see in this cart the following items: 48 cans of Imagine organic soup (three varieties of chicken), one baguette, a decent-sized wedge of St. Andre triple cream brie and a puny pretzel loaf. OOP was $3.50. How? Glad you asked:
Picked up four cases of the soup. Got 10% case price discount, but I also had the $1 mfr coupons stacked with the WF $1 from their website. That case discount took $9.55 off the top, so I needed to come up with fillers, hence the bread and cheese. I had only 46 of the store coupons using a combination of WF insert and IPs (and there were no brochures left in the store) or my total would have been $2 less. Oh, well, sometimes you just have to pay…

awesome deal!. thanks for the GREAT TIP
They didn’t give you a hard time about using more than one Whole Food coupon per transaction? Mine is hit and miss so I just always use 2 at a time in case I get the coupon police.
i know what you mean patty. i called the danada location cause ive had that same experience as you and they said a maximum of 6 like store coupons. 🙁
but, way to go goddess! great deal for you!!!
got my soup yesterday! wooohooie. the naperville store was fine with my 48 printed store ip’s!!! i called in advance to make sure with my order.
again, woohooie and thanks goddess.
btw, i noticed that IMAGINE brand had minestrone soup for $2.19 regular price. so, if you order a case of that flavor (12 cans) and go to naperville on 59, then you will pay 10 cents a can. the whole foods IP expires 1/31/12, so plenty of time to combine the store coupon with the mfr $ coupon from the 10/16 smartsource which also expires 1/31/12 !!!!!
ooops, my bad
the minestrone soup will be free as the 10% case discount will take of 22 cents per can( a slight 3 cent MM) !
