Whole Foods and Walmart combo shopping – wtf?

Well, Rachel and I were finally able to do our brunch thing (after two weeks!) because all our darling children are back in school!  woot!!!  Used a livingsocial restaurant voucher in Wheaton and then headed over to the Dananda Whole Foods, where MUM needed/wanted the Glutino white bread which was on sale for $2.99 (normally even crazier, like $5.69) and there were coupons!  I decided to schlepp along and pick up more Celestial Seasonings tea.

Since the tea is now down to $1.50, you need eight boxes to use up the 50¢ overage on every box (sticking to their on again/off again six coupon limit), so you see here two transactions (Rachel and mine) totalling 16 boxes.  OOP was .36, but that’s okay, ’cause I made it up at Walmart…

Actually stopped at the Glen Elyn store on Rte 53 to pick up some of those single size packs of Teddy Grahams, using the $3/3 on the back page of yesterday’s SS (the essentials one).  This must be sold at the SuperWalmarts only because Rachel and I walked all through the grocery aisles and could not find any of the individual size crackers or cereal – none. Since I was there anyway, decided to use the last of my $5 K-Y cats and just cash out.  So Walmart paid me $9.77 to take these fine products off their shelves and into my home.  A gracious gesture, no?  And everything went smoothly…
