Weird Whole Foods Shopping

Today through the 28th Whole Foods has a Little Italy promotion going on – Parmigiano Reggiano being one of the cheeses (20% off).  How long has it been since I’ve set foot in a Whole Foods store?  Back before the store moved into the old Dominicks location on Butterfield & Naper.  yeah, awhile…

Would have done the order and delivery route again, but the system limited me to one pound – insanity!  Drove over, loaded up a few chunks of Parmigiano Reggiano, a few containers of rinds ($5.99/lb and weigh nothing) and a nice chunk of blue.  Imagine my shock when the cashier says $177.03!  I stare at the screen, but can’t make any sense so pay and stand at the end of the register where I immediately see the problem – – I’ve paid for the person in front of me!  Don’t know how that could have happened and no way to track her down after the fact since she didn’t have Prime, so went to Customer Service where the entire transaction was credited back and my order scanned ($59, but it’s a really good price on cheese).  If you’d rather shop online, click the Whole Foods link to cheese & go from there.  The majority of shoppers were Whole Foods shopper/delivery people, which was strange to see.
