You ask what we’re gonna do when we keep getting dumped on by Walgreens? Start shopping at Walmart…I gave up trying to locate stock at Dollar General and just took their weekly ad in to Walmart. They price matched the $4 and I rang up 60 of them. Paid $17.40 in high tax. They probably had at least another 60 on the endcap, but I couldn’t fit any more in the cart! and no, i am not playing EC here with multiple carts. I’ll hit ’em up again in a few days because the DG sale ends on Saturday and the regular WM price is $4.98.
The big question, I’m sure, is what I’m going to do with them!? I pretty much had them sold before I bought them. Maybe I should set up a roadside stand and sell Air Wicks and watermelons.
Serious note here: I would strongly urge you to stock up on these as I can see dark clouds on the couponing horizon: the values are getting lower, stores do not carry sufficient inventory for their advertised sales and your coupons will expire long before a CVS gets stock. The new reality is to hit ’em hard and heavy and stockpile, stockpile, stockpile.
what cuepawn did you use?
7/1 s the $4/1 Air Wick, so free although damned high tax. Make sure to get yours before Saturday, when the DG sale ends.
So, couponing is getting worse, so you need to stockpile… air fresheners? I’d like to see what would happen if all the essential/important items had a free deal like this… at the same time! You’d probably rent a storage unit… with a $500 off of 6 months coupon of course.
When you need to rent a storage unit of any size, you have crossed the line into crazy hoarding, imo. I’ve known people who put old furniture, magazines (National Geographic and Readers Digest condensed books!), etc. into storage “for a few months” and years later they are still paying. They finally go to check the stuff out and realize it’s all junk. People have too much STUFF.
If YOU”RE NOT going to use them I would gladly come pick some up for free..my DH works a stinky job and I NEED all the air fresheners I can get! Just sayin’
If I were to ever hand over air fresheners for free (that I paid high tax on)…well, then lock me up for a loony!
I’ll probably buy another 50 or 60, split some with friends and sell the remainder at a stockpile sale for $2.50, which is still a damned fine price for people who can’t be bothered to coupon.
