By now I’m sure you’ve all heard that Walgreens is testing curbside pickup in selected markets, the Chicagoland area being one of them. How it works is you place your order online using your choice of local stores (you select one based on zip code). Place your order and go from there. Remember, not everything in the store is available online (which kinda sucks) AND you cannot use coupons to pay (either RRs or mfr) although you can place the order and they will fill it and you can then pick it up at the photo counter.
Having said all the bad things, remember, this is just a test, so there will always be things to work out. I think it’s kinda neat and hope it expands, both in products, coupon use and territory. That said, if you are planning on placing an order, here’s a promo code to take $5 off your first order of $20 or more: FIRST5. Code expires 7/16.
Haven’t had anyone try it yet, but while training for the program, I believe they said you can use coupons when you pick up your order in store, but not if you want it brought to your car. Your order is not charged to you until you pick it up so I am assuming the total can be changed with coupons.
Thanks for clarifying my post; I meant to word it more clearly. It’s a great service IF they expand the selection to include all our wonderful money makers and even just the free stuff.
