Wags Splenda update

Update once again: Coupondede seems to be in and out of the Splenda coupons.  They are currently at about .25 (or were listed as such), but booom!  out of stock.  Leave her your email and you’ll be informed when more are listed.  I just can’t see doing the eBay .75 each thing…

Latest info, peeps!  Steve just called with the following information:  He has now sold out his pallet of Splenda.  Yes, that’s right, folks.  Since I posted this last night, your calls have resulted in zero left to give.  For those of you still wanting/needing your fix, you can call Lisle (they are getting 120 boxes), but I don’t know what, if any, limits Ms. Brown will be placing.

Your next option for this week is to call Theresa at the Montgomery Wags (34th and 30th).  After that you can call Wheaton and ask to be put on next week’s list.  Since this deal runs through the end of April, next week will work, also.  Steve is going to check on availability, etc. at the warehouse.

NoteIf you are planning on an order for next week, please don’t wait to place it because many people/departments will be closed on Friday, so orders and confirmations won’t be processed (this is corporate, not our stores).  If you place an order with Steve he will have someone at the store call you back with either a confirmation and delivery date or a no go call.

and yes, the picture is what Steve does on his days off – rearranges his cash piles…

    • If you have the penny overage, have them adjust down the value of the coupon (or, conversely, adjust up the price of the product – I’ve had them do it both ways). Here’s the official Wags policy on this:

      Sale Items

Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

  1. Thanks! I placed my first order after making the mistake of going to the closest ghetto wags while I was driving. I’m done with dealing with the massive amount of fucktards in Chicago’s ass backwards Walgreens. If its a big order its not worth the mental exhaustion but well worth the gas spent. Thanks for getting them to turn to the dark side.
Don’t even get me started on my early morning Walmart excursion for my Nivea.

    • I picked up 60 just for grins (well, as the cash, of course); dede is .25 each plus a buck shipping. Puhleez, and they have the balls to try for .75?

Mariposa, what the hell were you doing at Walmart? Even for free Nivea…you notice I didn’t post this ’cause if it ain’t making me money, I ain’t going in there. When do you make your appearance on POW?

      • Nivea body wash is $2.99 at Tarzhay, which is a step up from Walmart — and if you got the beauty bag there is a $1.00/1 target Q for nice overage 🙂

        • Ugh…yeah. I stopped in Target Sunday they were 3.34. Chicago gouges you with prices. So since I haven’t stepped into a Walmart in forever I figured I’d subject myself. The last straw was when Rupaul checked me out and made me do one coupon per purchase. Wtf. I did anyways…Wags was an epic attrocity too.

          • There were a couple different kinds — the littler sparkly ones (water lily or some such) were $2.99 and then others were 3.34 and 3.99? Although it could be a chicago thing. I also read that up & up foil was $.99 on about 5 other blogs — $1.27 at my (suburban) store today. Sigh.

  2. The manager at Wags on the southside limited me to 2 boxes, eventhough they had 7. I had 7 qs and was going to do 3 transactions. He said he didn’t know if they were allowed to take the q to 2.99. I showed him the wags policy but he said he would have to talk with the store manager tomorrow. I did get 2 but still dissappointing.

    • In the first place, shame on the asst mgr for not knowing his own coupon policy (and that’s the tone I’d use, too). Next you hit the button on your phone to contact Wags corporate and fix his little red wagon… Then after that you come up to Lisle/Wheaton/Montgomery where they know their corporate coupon policy and treat us like valued customers.

  3. So I was just reading an article posted by Jill Cataldo about “gang cutting” coupons…it may be worthy to mention to all these nice burb Wags before they send coupons off to the manufacturer to make sure they are cut nice-n-normal. Not that their store sales wouldn’t match up but it seems like a grouping system is involved if gang cutting is involved.
