Wags 9/25-10/1

Thought I’d run a recap of some of the deals happening next week at Walgreens – I’ve had them listed in individual posts for the past few weeks.

The Schick Quattro razor and 4 pack cartridges will be $8.99 with a $5 RR.  There was a $5 IP to make this a slight MM (believe it reached its print limit) and the $4 from 9/25 S for FREE.  Razors are always stock-up items.

Mentos Up2U gum will be .99 with in-ad coupon.  Stack that coupon with the $1/2 from either the 9/11 S or 8/14 S plus the $1/2 in the October IVC booklet.  FREE gum.   Note:  Other areas got a $1/1 coupon on 9/11, so possible overage?

Zarbee’s nighttime cough & sleep drink is $5.99 with a $6 RR.  Use the $1 IP I forced you to print a couple of weeks ago, ’cause I think it’s reached its print limit.

Balance bar is $1.59 with a $1.59RR.  Use the .55 from 9/11 S.

Other things come up free with combinations of RRs and coupons, but the high tax will eat you up.

If you need coupons for any of these deals, order them now so you are good to go.  Remember, most of the hot deals lately at Walgreens have been unadvertised – they just appeared, made us money, and dropped back under the radar.  And this is just my feeling but I think that’s how most of the deals will be working for the next couple of years at both drugstore and grocery chains…get in, hit ’em hard and heavy and clear out…

    • Now I KNOW you didn’t print out the coupon, ’cause the coupon takes up a whole page with pictures of the cough syrup and the cough & sleep drink…my guess it’s the ZarBee’s alternative to Thera-flu.

  1. You got me! I took a pass on this one. Last Fall I bought 12 bottles when they had the deal running, and couldn’t give the stuff away. Ended up tossing it in the trash.Just didn’t feel like messing with it this time around.
Most parents joke about “sleepy” medicines, so I think it’s funny that a company is actually selling it that way. 🙂

      • No, that’s not necessarily true; every pantry has different guidelines. The one where I volunteered would not accept any OTC meds. You have to call around to find out just what their hours are, what products they will accept (if they have limited refrigerator/freezer space, all that ice cream will be sweet gravy) and who is available to help unload your car. You only think 120 cans of HC soup will be easy to deliver…

          • Excellent news! I did not know this. PR is a fantastic facility and does a tremendous amount of work to help people, by holding classes (in English, computers, etc.). They have this large room with groceries where you can “shop” and another large room with clothing to help with job interviews. Cannot say enough nice things about them. Anyone looking for a place to donate, they’re on Naper Blvd north of Roosevelt just south of the tracks on the east side of the street.
