I’ve held off on posting this, but I’ve now gotten enough emails so I’ll hit publish. This week’s red plum is supposed to contain a $3 coupon good on any full-size got2b product. Just so happens that this product in on a monthly BOGO (2/$5.99) so we’re talking FREE here.
I say supposed to get because there is never a guarantee that you will get the coupon in your own area and it will be available in all papers in your area. In the Chicago area, coupons will be in the Tribune, but not necessarily in the Sun Times, Daily Herald, etc. Rarely happens that you find a coupon in the also-rans that is not in the Trib. Since this is a monthly deal, you have until the 25th, so if you’re looking at special orders, wait until Saturday, when the papers come out and check to see what’s there. If you don’t get the $3 coupon, you can always put in a special order and buy coupons through Dede or some other clipping service. But this is a very sweet deal on a great line of products.
I live in the Naperville area and the Walgreen’s that I go to won’t place special orders. What Walgreen’s do you use for special orders?
You can use the Lisle or Steeple Run stores on Maple, the Wheaton store on Naper & West Loop Road, the Bolingbrook store on Boughton & White Water … would any of those locations work for you? There is also the Rte 59 & North Aurora Wags.
All are great. I work a couple of blocks from the Bolingbrook store. Thanks so much!
Jackie is the Senior BA at the White Water store and is AWESOME at special orders and couponing. (Call her Janet if you wanna get a rise out of her!)
I got my order placed with the AWESOME JACKIE this morning, thanks to the info from the AWESOME GODDESS ! SOOOO many thanks to both of you!!
Will Walgreen’s accept a coupon a the free item?
The last time I tried using a coupon on a free item at the Walgreen’s on Ogden in Naperville they told me that I couldn’t use it because the item was free.
The short answer is they’re staffed by godless communists. In reality, they’re never rude, but sometimes it’s such a pain that, unless it’s something that most Wags are out of stock and they have a few, I don’t even bother. The young girl in cosmetics (from some Eastern European country? is a real dream to work with (offers coupons, etc.), but you can’t plan a trip on the off chance she’ll be working. unfortunately…
Here is the official BOGO coupon policy from the Walgreen’s website:
Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.
Today, I stopped by to place my order for the Got2B at the Walgreen’s on Boughton and White Water. They were great! No problems with ordering! I want to say thanks to the “Goddess” for positng this.
