I always say three flakes in the air means snowplows will be out, not so much plowing as resurfacing – asphalt dermabrasion.  Truck just backed down the street and is playing the waiting game.  Not complaining, mind you, because I’ve seen pictures of Chicago streets where being snowed in is a literal term.  Considering I only have three houses on each side of my street, it’s actually pretty awesome.
