Stopped at Dominicks because, well, frankly, we were completely out of Tai Pei chicken potstickers! I know, I know, it just doesn’t seem possible, but there it is, and I must feed my addiction. Decided to redeem the rain check for seven Dole, since the coupons expire in a few days, saw the clearance English muffins on the way back with eight boxes from the Tai Pei freezer, so tossed those into the cart, as well. On the clearance table were nine boxes of 40 oz Ultra Tide, marked $7.99 with 50% off stickers. In a wonderful fluke, I had the 9/29 inserts in the car, so I was able to clip the $2 coupons from the P&G insert and ended up paying $1.99 a box (although you’re able to post-redeem up to a few weeks at the Woodridge store)!
And you know you live in weird times when a quart of Organic half & half is cheaper than a quart of Coffeemate, which, to the best of my knowledge, contains nothing natural at all.
OOP was $28.90 – only saved 80% (damned potstickers!).
$1.99 Tide!? You are too good Goddess!
A few weeks back when they had the B1G2 Free Purex @ WG, the cashier and manager [we all coupon, so we discuss things while checking out] were joking that Tide is the “best”- when relatives come over and ask for laundry detergent, we give them the Arm & Hammer and Purex- keep the Tide to ourselves…. BAHAHAHA. (going to hell)
Check Jewel for clearanced Tide too. Found ten boxes, three of which were Free & Gentle, for $3.09 each. So, $1.09 each for four boxes and $1.42 each for the other six I bought. The Gurnee location are sticklers about limit 4 like coupons, plus that’s all I had.
I also used OYNO from Meijer’s MM Suave on the remaining balance. Yay for nearly free Tide!
You know, I was wondering about that myself, so when I stopped at Jewel this afternoon I looked high and low for the clearance cart, but it wasn’t to be seen. Normally that means the markdown person hasn’t gotten to a buncha stuff – I can only hope…
