Target, Target, Target…what’s to become of you? What’s to become of us? They may have straightened out the coupon problems, but the gift card screw-ups continue. Especially with the way their registers assign arbitrary amounts to items for which you get a gift card. It’s exactly the same as Wags giving you a RR and then refusing your coupons because the $4 item is now only worth $1 because they handed you a $3 RR.
In the picture: are 3 Hungry Hippos games; 7 Pictureka games; 4 Vaseline (bonus size); 4 Ponds cleansing cloths (bonus size); 4 Suave deoderant. I was using 10 of the $5 game coupons; $1 mfr Vaseline stacked with $1.50 Target coupon times 4; $1.50 Ponds coupon stacked with $1.50 Target coupon and 4 .75 Suave mfr coupons stacked with $1/2 Target coupons. I guesstimated the amount would be about $20 plus high tax – actually ended up with a $23.86 total.
Unfortunately, it took forever to straighten out the mess from using so many coupons. First cashier was relieved and his supervisor came over and attempted to make sense of the register. Finally was who I belive was store manager and even he had difficulties. In the end, he played around and played around and finally got the numbers right, even if it required playing funny numbers with the prices. Target, get your damned act together! It’s not fair that your cashiers and store personnel have to take the flak from your screw-ups! End of speechifying…
