I’ve gotten emails from people who, before leaving on vacation, check the listings in the city they’re going to be visiting. No one says you have to blow money on vacation! Smart idea, peeps.

Usual deets: certificates never expire; can be transferred from one restaurant choice to another; keeping them in blank form as gift certificates is smart and joining the certificate of the month means they will automatically add one voucher per month at the cheap rate, not whatever deal they’re running.
See? Told you that the 70% would be coming right after that 50%….next up will be their “usual” 80% deal. But now it’s the beginning of the month and many of the restaurants have “reloaded” their available vouchers, so waiting until later in the month to save a buck or two ? Nah…
these certificates are wonderful and get you to go to places you might otherwise never try. I’m a firm believer in them. Just make sure to read all the use details for each restaurant.

Making this banner big and purdy for you all. This is the one that you use to stock up; it’s the lowest price that you are going to get on any type of regular basis. The 90% ones only come up a couple of times per year, so don’t wait around to save the buck. Check to see what restaurants have added new vouchers and if you have a particular restaurant in mind, check that one out.
A neighborhood sports bar/restaurant we are very fond of patronizing dropped out of the program in November, so I check periodically to see if they’ve come back. Remember, if the restaurant you choose drops out or closes, Restaurant.com will automatically transfer the certificate into a gift certificate in your account and will notify you via email. yadayadayadayada — you all know the drill by now. The best deal is 90% off, but that sucker only comes a couple of times a year, so then we jump to the 80% deals, which are pretty common. Need something specific? Jump on any of them ’cause we’re really only talking a buck or two difference … and after a while it just makes you sound stupid …
I’m bumping this post up to remind everyone that this current promotion ends the 13th. It’s not that there won’t be a great deal right after, but that’s usually the 60% promo and you have to wait a week or three before it goes back down. So if you need/want some now …
I’m going to keep posting these on the off-chance someone out there in the inhabited universe has not yet stocked up…well, it could happen! I love this company, love my ability to actually dine out without spending a fortune at restaurants near and far. Come on, now, what’s the down side? no dirty dishes, suzy homemaker?
Again…this time around it’s a few pennies cheaper. Pay $3 for a $25 certificate. Check to see if any new restaurants have been added or ones you like have added more vouchers. I always try to keep a bank of these in certificate form so I can just print when I find something I like. I also bought the dinner of the month deal, and get a reminder email every month (it automatically gets placed in my account as a certificate).
As Rachel reminds me, not everyone follows every deal – some come in when the best deals are over, some sit on the fence too long, every city has a story… When you are actually doing the numbers, on a 60% vs 80% discount, we’re actually talking about a few dollars to start saving on dining out. If you see a restaurant you want, or wanted earlier when it wasn’t available (they do sell out, you know – well, you’d know if you’d ever read my posts!!! quiet thoughts, quiet thoughts… ok, now where was I? Again, if there’s a place you want to try or might like, go for the current deal. It’s either that or home-style cooking again.
