The singer-songwriter’s wise, witty lyrics and blend of folk, country, blues and jazz have earned him widespread critical acclaim, four Grammy Awards and more than four million album sales. A native Texan, Lovett has been a roundly respected star since his self-titled 1986 debut LP, which spawned the singles “Farther Down the Line” and “Cowboy Man.” His hits since then have included “Give Back My Heart,” “If I Had a Boat,” “Don’t Touch My Hat” and a cover of the classic “Stand by Your Man.”

$15 tickets to Natalie Cole & Ramsey Lewis concert at Ravinia!
Tickets for this August 28th 7:30 pm concert at Ravinia start at only $15. Nine-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Natalie Cole and legendary jazz composer and pianist Ramsey Lewis perform this special outdoor summer concert at Ravinia Pavilion. The daughter of jazz legend Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole rocketed to stardom in 1975 with her debut album Inseparable, featuring chart-topping single with “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love).” A string of hit singles followed, including “I’ve Got Love on My Mind,” “Our Love” and “Someone That I Used to Love.” Living jazz legend Ramsey Lewis is a Grammy-winning performer-composer (with hits like “Hang on Sloopy,” “The In Crowd” and “Wade in the Water”) who first came to fame with the Ramsey Lewis Trio in the late ’50s and ’60s. In a career that has flourished for more than 50 years, the three-time Grammy winner has recorded a staggering 80 albums, seven of which have been certified gold. For this Ravinia Festival concert, Cole and Lewis will be joined by special guest alumni from the RSMI Program for Jazz.

Since the 1987 release of the international hit single “Bamboleo,” the Gipsy Kings have sold more than 14 million albums worldwide, with more than four million in the United States alone. The group has released 15 albums, including their most recent, Pasajero. The band’s vigorous guitar work and passionate vocals are highly influenced by the musical tradition known as rumba flamenca. Featuring Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo, they play Ravinia for one night only, August 11th.
