Asus – 11.6″ Touch-Screen Laptop – 4GB Memory – 320GB Hard Drive in Black for only $199.99 – FREE SHIPPING! Which is good because it says not available in stores! You can charge this with your Best Buy card and pay no interest for what terms you can negotiate (I’ve gotten them up to 18 months in the past, but I know a year is pretty standard.) This unit is selling on Amazon for $269.99 and shipping isn’t included.

Again, this unit would need the memory upped at some point in the near future – that’s pretty cheap, though. This unit is a great size for slipping into a backpack or tote.

I don’t understand why this Toshiba Satellite 15.6″ Laptop with 4GB Memory and 500GB Hard Drive is still available, but I would definitely grab it. The photo shows PITA’s unit during the installation and update process. She wasn’t used to trackpads, so that’s a learning curve. With a bump in memory (from the current 4G to 16G max) it should take care of all her school and games needs for the next few years – right now we seem to be 100% in game mode…

I’d advise buying online and then picking up in the store at your convenience; I think they give you a week. If there aren’t any available in your local store(s), shipping is FREE.
