Something for adults to enjoy (bring the kids along if you must) is today’s Buyzooka to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont on two dates only: December 29, 2010 at 2pm and 7 pm or December 30, 2010 at 2pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $30 instead of the $80 ticket price (63% off ). This would be fun – like watching Stooges basketball.

Buyzooka
Hmmm, a mani/pedi and a 1 hour massage for $75. Count me in, except that I neither live nor work in downtown Chicago. Well, for those of your who do, this is a really good price. It’s almost like getting the mani/pedi for free.
Renew Spa at 980 North Michigan Avenue. Voucher expires 3/31/2011; you must make an appointment (well, duh).

Disney on Ice presents Toy Story 3 is the $30 for $60 value today. Back in the dark ages, my mom treated us to Beauty and the Beast on Ice (well I said it was a long time ago). I’m posting this ’cause it’s a wonderful holiday memory to make; note that the 30 bucks doesn’t include those horrific Ticketmaster service fees and bend over charges usually assessed by them.
Tickets are for Allstate Arena shows on 1/26, 1/27 and 1/28. Read the fine print for more info.
Breakfast with Santa at Odyssey Fun World
We used to take the kids to Brookfield Zoo every year for Breakfast with Santa – majorly expensive, but majorly cool. They even had reindeers!
Well, those Santa days are long-gone (although the PITA professed to believing in Santa up until a few years ago on the off chance she could nab some extra presents), but for those of you still dealing with it, I present today’s Buyzooka, a $20 voucher for the $43 VIP admissions package, with tokens, etc. at either the Tinley Park or Naperville location on one day only: December 19, 2010. The Tinley Park location will also have an appearance by the Disney Radio road crew.

And now, a total dig at Comcast, currently appearing as Xfinity, which is coincidentally the length of your wait time for a repair. I’m sure there are certain areas where the service is wonderful (yeah, keep smokin’ that), but out in this next of the woods?
Today’s Buyzooka is for 12 Movies on Demand at 51% off the $72 price – or $35, for all you math-challenged readers. Check out the fine print first, because there are a whole heap of exclusions – quel surprise. Voucher expires 12/31/2011, so a full year+ to try to stream them all. and yes, I do loathe and detest cable, thanks for asking!
Buyzooka – Brookfield Zoo
This is a sweet memory for you to make on the cheap(er). Brookfield Zoo’s Holiday magic for $13 (50% off). My kids and I would go year after year; of course, they don’t remember any of it now, but the lights are always beautiful and the lane of Christmas trees decorated by local schools was also fun to check out. The program seems to have gotten much larger, at least by looking at the lighting displays online, so the ooh and ahh factor has grown exponentially.

Lobster Freezooka!
See, I knew there had to be a reason I was still sitting on my computer like a vegetable: Just got the email on the Buyzooka deal of the day, for a $25 voucher for Lobstergram. If you redeem at their store, there is a $50 minimum purchase requirement – none for online purchases. They also sell seafood and steak assortments.
I’m going to put in my order for one of these (that’s the limit). Remember, if you don’t use it you haven’t lost anything, since it was free.
Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals woot! woot!
I’m throwing out a bone here for the guys – 38% off tickets for the muscle cars show on November 21 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (hey, wasn’t that born the Rosemont Horizon?). It’s 25 instead of the usual 40 bucks to view the 500 cars on display. Well, if it’s a car show at least there’ll be fudge stands…
