Back in the car for more meatballs. Since I was there, decided to throw in a few other things…the 10 oz sale Fast Shake pancake batters were gone, so they substituted 2 of the 5 oz ones for each (got rain check for 30 – now to find more computers), Sierra Mist, Gatorade Prime and one lonely bottle of Sobe. Two transactions, total OOP was $3.46, brought down by using a found $1 OYNO and a $3 OYNO from the Kleenex component of the K-C $25 gift card deal.
Important note: There doesn’t seem to any method to the register glitch – Naperville (75th and Naper) was ringing B1G2; Westmont wasn’t working, I’ll know more about other stores later. The only one working for certain is the Rte 53 Lisle store where they still have lots in the end freezer. Take them out of the box and they require very little room in your freezer(s).
What was the end date on the fast shake?
December 28, 2011. Husband thinks he is a chef because he adds water, shakes and pours. They are GREAT-tasting pancakes! I’ve still got a couple cases of the buttermilk and blueberry ones from the freebies at Meijer. And no fear that they will turn rancid before we use them all.
What? No, not the exp. date, when does the SALE end… 😛
Crap, I’m old and blind AND I haven’t a clue. But since I got the 30 rain check, I’ve got your back…(besides, I also have about 10 boxes of Aunt Jemima, so we’re looking like Original Pancake House here).
lol. Bought some of the bisquick ones on the last GM deal at Jewel and husband is in luuuuuv, but we’re out, so want to give these a try.
absolutely cannot believe you guys buy, erase that, get this pancake mix crap. DS can and has made pancakes from scratch and without having the recipe in front of him. it is not difficult. bet even the pita could do it. shall we find out?
PITA would start, get distracted and walk away. DH would be bothering me every second with “Where are the eggs? How old are they? Which oil should I add? Why is it still bubbling? I can’t get the …” and in the end it’s my fault for whatever he does to ruin the pancakes. These little suckers are great, because he adds water, shakes and pours them in the skillet. For a man who has burned both Jiffy Pop AND microwave popcorn (and, naturally, blamed the products), it’s a miracle…light a candle.
you are all hilarious! 🙂 That being said, your house must be huge….where the hell do you put all this stuff….I have a stockpile in one closet and my DH complains about that!
Well, my first comment would be to clear some space in the closet and shove him in, but then I realized that was crazy talk. I mean, who would stockpile a husband!? Seriously, it does require some management and yes, the basement resembles Dominicks (lots of product, no customers), but you say “Wow, 18 boxes of meatballs!), but it’s not that many. Make a meatball sandwich family lunch and you’ve used up three bags – puny pancake shakers are good for only about 4 each, you get the idea. The beverages (Sobe, Aquapods, etc.) are the things that really take up space, but again, they’re either free or a MM and it’s a joy to not have to bitch ’cause someone took the last of the whatevers – that day will never come. Unlike Nathan at WUC, however, I try to limit my deodorant stockpile to 500 or less (kidding!!).
very funny, believe me, sometimes I’d like to shove him in the trunk of the car, LOL! We just have a super tiny house….you can be in the bedroom and talk comfortably w/whoever is in the living room…some day maybe we’ll get the hell out of here and into a normal size house that at least has a garage! 🙂
