Their Polish-style ham is $1.99/lb – I got FirstBorn a couple of pounds…he should start talking to me again.
Scott Peterson hard salami is $2.99/lb.
They have about 8 different fresh feta cheeses in the deli case – I saw goat, French, cow’s milk and more!
Rotisserie chickens are $2.99 (use that wine coupon in the Jewel booklet).
Got a pound of their new muffaletto mix – it’s not as spicy as I’d like, but we can always fix that!
Whole seedless watermelons are $1.99, while the black-seeded ones are $3.99. I took a seeded one because I think they have better taste. And hey, I want to play around with planting them next spring…you know, before the zombie apocalypse! Gigantic heads of green cabbage are .29/lb. These heads are bigger than mine! Portabello mushrooms (the whole ones) are $1.99/lb! Naturally I took one. Nice Organic Girl large pack of lettuce mix on the reduced rack for $1.99. Make sure you check the price on the reduced produce because it might have been a great price before a sale, but now? For example, lots of three-packs of green cabbage that seemed pricy to me. Weighed one box and it was almost double the 29¢ a pound current sale. PITA grabbed a reduced carton of fresh figs for only $1.29!
8 oz bags of PIMA brand ground coffee are $1.99. Seriously, $1.99? You pay more for Starbucks mud! Customer service told me it was a very popular coffee with their European customers, a bolder flavor, so we’ll see. I only took three bags and it’s in the new coffeemaker already. If it’s good, I’ll back up the truck…after first hitting Ultra for more PB&J (I think I’m up to 48 jars of each).
Nutella is still on sale for $2.29. Niagara Water is 5/$10 for the 24 packs.
They sell about 15 different types/brands of butter, both in half-pound, pound and 2 lb solid tubes.
Did you buy two rotisserie chickens and use one coupon from the Jewel booklet? I have to buy chickens on Sunday, so I thought I’d ask. Thank you for a review of the store. I am yet to get there.
I wasn’t planning on picking up any more chicken, which was good, given how late it was when I got there, all that stuff was already put away!
And since the Jewel mfr coupon is for $3, you should be able to use two for two chickens. I mean either they take off the extra penny overage (!!!) or the 2 cents goes to something in the cart. If I head back there tomorrow, I’ll go earlier and try the coupon and then post. I’d recommend taking in the entire booklet so if they have any questions, they can see it’s a legitimate coupon from the source.
I think the coupon states for rotisserie chicken over $3.05, but maybe I’m wrong. These days the way stores are treating me, I’m sure I’ll catch crap if I try to use one on a $2.99 chicken. You are always the lucky Goddess! Thank you for the input.
I stand corrected – $3.05 minimum it is! So your only option is, as you said, buy 2 for $5.98 and pay $2.98 since I don’t see the $5 chickens on the J4U this weekend. Of course, it’s hard to be upset over paying $1.49 per rotisserie chicken!
