Vita Ice 17oz also shows up in the ad as B1G1 free on the “Double Up” page.
I saw that too and was going to comment! I have a strong feeling that if we clip the free one on Sat. and try to scan the 2nd one (the free one) it will make you pay for the 1st and give you the free one second. As if you didn’t even have yours clipped. My husband went thru this scenerio with the Breyers ice cream when he had a personalized price AND the store had them BOBO that week. We argued that he should get the 2nd free since that was a store promotion but she said they only allow ONE OR THE OTHER and NOT BOTH! Since it says “limit 1”. I’d like to try it and see anyway but my husband says he doesn’t want to stand there and have it not work for something he doesn’t even really want! I’d like to try but have little faith. I’d bet it would work if the free item was WORD OF DAY. I’ve done that before with success! In that case you do not enter in your number.
Your husband will probably be standing there anyway, since I’ve yet to go a week without a digital coupon or Reward not coming off. Call me a cynic, but corporate probably figures most customers either won’t catch the error or won’t care.
on this topic, there’s a B1G1F manufacturer’s e-coupon for Mountain Dew Kick Start, and they’re on sale B1G1F this week! coupon policy allows combining of the two, meaning they should both be FREE, aside from sales tax on the coupon-granted item. however, the registers actually WORKING properly is a different story.
has anybody tried this combo deal yet? (remember to scan another item afterwards to hopefully jostle the register if it’s not working properly at first.)
and of course, i’m interested in hearing your outcomes on the Vita Ices.
Grab 2 Vita Ices! My husband and I BOTH got 2 orange/mango flavor bottles around 9 AM today and we went to a regular check lane. It took a second after we entered in our number but ended up totally FREE…no tax even! I was shocked. The cashier was too lol
BAM!
*also, just bought the 2 waters and nothing else.
She shoots and she SCORES! Thanks for the update.
Weird one on this freebie – it kept ringing up freebies except for two. Was gonna take those two off, but bit the bullet and paid .12 for 8. Like I said, weird.
where’s the $0.12 come from? is that total or each?
Tax and I was mistaken on the total number – it was six bottles, not eight (had two from Pita’s acct in bag).
to report my results: i did the Vita Ice and Mtn Dew Kickstarts in the same transaction, self-checkout:
1) the vitas, rang up first, granted the coupon freebie, but not the store sale freebie. not even with subsequent mtn dew scanning to “jostle” the register. so i asked an employee to deduct the second bottle per the advertised sale, and they did with no hassle.
i’m not surprised it didn’t work automatically, as this location is one where that’s chronically failed (on Saturday Samplers, iirc), even when other people on here or on Jill’s site report success. but it was on my way to 2 other stores, so figured i’d try.
2) the kickstarts, rang up second, worked properly, charging nothing besides the sales tax on the one can.
and to report on a combo i hadn’t mentioned due to its specificity:
1) “FREE
Alpha Plant-Based Breakfast Sandwich
5.5-oz. Limit 1. In the Frozen Section.
Personalized Deal ; One time use ; Expires: 11/09/21”
2) “SAVE $1.50
Alpha Foods
on TWO (2) Any Alpha Foods Product, all varieties
Coupon ; One time use ; Expires: 11/30/21”

jewel policy says that Personalized Deals/Prices should stack/combine with all other offers. my hope was to have the mfg. cpn span my P.D. freebie and 1 other Alpha Foods item. so i bought the Original (Meatless Sausage, Plant-Based Egg, and Cheeze) breakfast sandwich and the Burrito Protein Supreme – 5.5 OZ (a breakfast-style burrito), ringing up in that order (sale priced $3.00 and $2.50, respectively). (the local store apparently doesn’t carry the $2.00 sale-priced 5oz burritos.)
it worked! paid $1.00 total before tax.

on the subject of faux meats: the local store has 3 types of Raised & Rooted Nuggets 8oz on clearance for ~$2.49.
