And before I go, I want to say that the vast majority of cs people and cashiers get it right 99% of the time…but that remaining 1%? Got this doozy from a reader today:
I was at one of the major grocery chains today returning something. I was told that the receipt was expired (past 90 days of the purchase) so they couldn’t give me a refund or even a merchandise credit. I took the receipt back and said “I don’t have the receipt and I want to return this.” The CS person shrugged and promptly gave me a merchandise credit.
