Just came back from Jewel where I picked up 12 more POM, eggs, yogurt, bread, etc. Just stuff. Paid $1.55 OOP. The trick is to pick up any and all stray cats you find ’cause you never know when they’ll be useful. If you are running the Ken’s dressing this week, you will easily hit a threshold where you can use one of those $ off $$ store cats which gives you some wiggle room with groceries. I’ve been able to score free bakery bread, free EE wide pan bread, free Jewel veggies and eggs…lots of freebies with very little trouble – best thing is that the items you buy with a store catalina don’t trigger tax.
It is amazing how many “cats & coupons” you find! At the Jewel in Morris the employees grab up and tear up, any and all that are left behind by customers. They say that nobody else can have them cause they were only meant for the customer that left them behind. Once in a blue moon I find some in the parking lot. ( I think the employees that gather carts are instructed to “grab and tear” also.)
The question is …. how much does PITA charge to come with me to Jewel to scout those out? You may be the goddess, but she’s the queen of finding stray cats!
