Stopped at Jewel for some Coke – Firstborn complains that PITA drinks his so a possibility here of shutting his pie hole… yeah, slim, I know.
Certain grocery stores had sales ads this week containing Coke ($3) and Pepsi ($2) product manufacturer coupons; I know Westbook Market and Pete’s did, while Valli’s had a store coupon. If you clip out the $3 Coke coupon and use it at Jewel, you’ll get four 12-packs for $5 (sale price of $8 less the $3 coupon). I didn’t need to spend the $20 extra to get the $2 price, either – price dropped at the $20 threshold which included the Coke.
Total OOP was $13.86.
how long is the Pasta Prima on sale for?
Sign says July 9, but just to be safe, I picked up a rain check for 30 – I can always get more coupons and it’s just a rain check, not a special order. So If the sale tags were to suddenly disappear, I’d still be okay. Highly recommend rain checks!
The coupons exp. 6/30 tho.
Very true, but remember, you can always post-redeem up to 60 days, even if that coupon has since expired. Many Jewel stores (like Lisle) prefer that you pay upfront for your special orders, which works out very, very well in cases like these.
Not at all stores. You can post redeem coupons off a receipt for 60 days. Some stores will take coupons that are now expired but weren’t expired at the time as a courtesy, but it’s not policy, and many will not. So if you’re planning on doing this, ask at the service desk.
Or get the rain checks and then when it comes in pay and use the coupons which they will honor if accompanied by a rain check (like they did for Zyrtec deal)
I think Rachel has a valid point, though, that those of us with coupon-friendly stores are spoiled and we tend to forget that even some Jewel stores act like the coupon value is coming directly out of the mouths of their starving babies.
Not all stores do this. You have to be careful talking about “they will honor.” SOME stores will honor. Even MANY stores will honor. But not ALL stores will — some are less friendly than others, and it is not official policy.
