got a cat? RUN to Amazon Fresh

I only stopped in to grab some prepared foods ’cause I was hungry and lazy.  Wandered the aisles and ended up in the pet food lane and saw all the Friskies cans for cheap:  18¢, 28¢ and 38¢.  They had more of the “expensive” varieties, but who am I kidding 🙂  FirstBorn buys Fancy Feast for my Preferred Price of 92¢ at Jewel – here they were 89¢ on the shelf.  Iams Proactive for indoor cats was $2.58 for 7 lbs.  Half & Half was $5.29 compared to $5.43 Preferred.  pah Blue Buffalo dog food varieties were 88¢ and $1.08 so those went into the cart as well.  All in all, I paid $42.27 with tax and saved $46.85 (with the 20% coupon) on 71 items.

Lots of super cheap vitamin deals – the melatonin was only pennies!  Deeply discounted dried herbs (thyme, etc.)

Vitamix Series 750 Blender, Professional-Grade for $349.99 – that’s a few hundred bucks cheaper than over on Big Brother.  These are unopened boxes and contain everything the more expensive boxes have: cookbooks, recipes, etc.  I’ve used Vitamix for over 30 years and replace every decade or so.  I can pulse a bag of whole bean clearance coffee in seconds and it doesn’t get even warm.

6/07 Amazon Fresh: 20% & 10% coupons

The 06/07 Amazon Fresh ad has the two coupons we now expect as our due:  20% off $50 for Prime members and 10% off for non-Prime, in addition to lots of their own label extra Prime discounts. Like the deal on Hebrew National franks, but wish they were BOGO!  Lately our buns have all been sporting green before we finish the burgers, brats & franks – even tried keeping them in the fridge.  sigh ????

Flavor Adventure returns today

This year’s Monopoly game in disguise (Flavor Adventure) starts today (6/7).  I keep getting a “technical error” when I try to start playing after registration and have to reregister, but hope that gets straightened out soon; did rather well last year.

Checking Personalized Prices one year ago, I see that my half and half was $1.99 a half gallon while the best they’ve offered me this week is $5.43.  Of course, if that counts towards the $25/$5 Dairy Deal this month, it’s great because we go through two a week.  FirstBorn is currently sucking down coffee in Vegas, so we’ll see how much we use when it’s just me (Pita uses plant-based goop).
