Instead of updating, thought I’d do a new post…A reader has been speaking with someone in the customer service department at corporate about this bottle vs case problem and here’s where we all pretty much stand right now:

Corporate is aware of the problem and the VPs are meeting to figure out a way to straighten out this mess.  We will be receiving the proper number of cases, not bottles, that we all ordered, but they have to figure out how many to ship (if you ordered 18 cases and got 18 bottles, then they need to reopen your order and ship 17 cases and however many bottles).  In other words, they are honoring all our orders.  for some of you this means the semis will be pulling in your driveway…

If you have not yet spoken with corporate, please do so – don’t waste your time with the 800 number – as soon as possible.  I originally left a message and they called back within a few hours.  Corporate is able to view all the orders at one time, rather than going back and forth (when you call the 800 number that’s what you get).  There will not be any further information until Monday, as the VPs are meeting on Saturday.  By Monday I should have more details.

  1. Thanks for all the information! How do we get in touch with Office Depot corporate, rather than the usual customer service number? My order for the lotion hasn’t even shipped yet (bottles or cases) so I’m afraid if I contact them too early my order will be cancelled outright.

    • Office Depot corporate number is (561) 438-4800 – press 0 for Customer Service. If you’re talking about the DermaSoft lotion (I ordered this, too), a reader was told that it’s no longer available. It was available up until fairly recently, so we’ll see. This is a big one for me and I hope Office Depot comes through. And I would never hold off on calling because you’re afraid your order will be cancelled. They screwed up and if they can straighten out your order before it’s shipped, it will be less work for them, right?

  2. I haven’t tried corporate yet, but Office depot did send me the remainder of the cases that they owed me on the cleansing products. The odd thing is, they credited my account for the order. (so far I haven’t paid for them) Then I told you about them asking me to leave my 6 boxes of kleenex on the porch and they would be picked up and replaced by 6 cases…well…another mistake is costing them a lot of money on shipping because they sent me another 6 single boxes instead of cases again. I called the 800 # and got disconnected, but then had a date with the hubby so I couldn’t follow through. Thanks for the info on the corporate number. Will be calling them in the morning.
