Will this be the year you win a million dollars just for going grocery shopping? Millions of shoppers across the country will begin trying their luck today, in the game that always seems to raise our hopes, before leaving us frustrated, annoyed and not a million dollars richer.
But this year, things just might be different – you might actually win. Not only is the grand prize easier to win than ever, but lucky players just like you have done it for the past two years in a row now.
Albertsons’ twelfth annual Monopoly Collect & Win game launches today at more than 2,000 stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, Pavilions, Vons, Randalls, Tom Thumb, ACME, Jewel-Osco, United Supermarkets, Shaw’s, Star Market and several other smaller, regional Albertsons-owned stores.
As in past years, from now through May 5th, you’ll earn a free game ticket each time you make a purchase, with the chance to earn additional tickets for buying promoted items. Each ticket represents a space on a Monopoly board, and if you collect all the tickets in any given group, you earn a prize, ranging from $5.00 to $1 million. Millions of tickets are also instant winners, offering everything from free products, to gift cards, to cash. Here’s the whole Coupons in the News article.

I asked for a game board today and then she forgot to give it to me. I will get one next time but I cannot get the app to load this year. It just sits there “waiting”??? I clicked from my J4U app (was a banner on top) and also tried going thru the Play Store for Android. No luck there either? Have you tried to load yours yet? Oh! And I got 1 ticket today and it was a coupon for something and where there usually are 4 game pieces there is now only 2 with an ad telling you to go earn bonus tickets in meat department where the other 2 tiles used to be! Odd first piece.
Can’t find the APP on the APP Store and the JFU APP on my phone doesn’t show a banner for the game. I’ll pick up the juice tonight and see about a board and ticket. Seems like they’re starting earlier this year, since prior years ended in May and I can’t see this running for months and months…that’s a lot of lettuce and generic aspirin!
